Personally, I think he should have gone to jail.

You can't 'bail yourself out' once you've been sentenced.

It's a sad state we're in if people get five years in prison for forging a check and the REAL criminals basically only get a warning and a slap on the wrist.

ugh ugh UGH the whole thing makes me furious and sends a message saying that it's okay to abuse your partner, because the sentence is so light. infuriating.
