I posted about this a while ago but didn't know if I missed anything on why they haven't opened it up yet at Epcot. Last thing that was posted by Disney was them saying they would open it up "early 2017". I was really excited for it but what is taking so long for that little stand to open?!

It's on the Food & Wine map, so it looks like they plan to have it open sometime during the festival.

With the opening day of Food & Wine being today, being that it's printed on the festival map - I was hoping for excited reports of Choza finally being open. :listen::(

I just found this posted on Choza de Margaritas facebook page on evening of August 28

"To our fans eagerly awaiting our opening, due to the unpredictability of construction, we still cannot provide you with a definitive open date. We are as excited about opening as you are and look forward to serving you when the time comes."

That certainly doesn't sound promising.

Ugh. Definitely not promising. I wonder what the issues are. I mean it's a bar not a new pavilion. Thanks for sharing the update.

Has anyone been to Epcot recently and able to give an update on what it looks like. Hoping it looks pretty close to opening.

Yes, thanks for the update. I'll have to look them up on Facebook!
So odd that they're having so many issues that has caused it to be delayed so long.

My feeling is that construction problems exceeded budget, and so Disney has halted the construction until a new budget is approved. I hope I am wrong and that they open this month, especially since I'll be there the last week in September. But I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't open until 2018. I also wonder if a similar situation occurred with The Edison at Disney Springs.

Talked to the folks manning the station in Mexico today hoping it'd open before we leave tomorrow afternoon, and they told me it will indeed open tomorrow (Monday, Nov 13th) so we can enjoy it before we head north.
Awesome. I read an article a couple of days ago saying that it was going to open up really soon. Excited to hear some reviews about it!
Took long enough. Lol.

And so. . .did it open? My CM friend sent a photo on Friday and the signage was up--it looked pretty close to opening.

Wow, they have Michelada (beer, Clamato juice, citrus, asst. seasoning)! Only three food items, but they sound good: tacos al pastor, empanadas de barbacoa and guacamole with flour chicharrones.

It was indeed open, but the frozen lime margarita machine wasn't working (it had frozen up) and the strawberry was having serious issues. This was around 3:15. I took some photos that I can post when I'm home.

Ahhh it all looks so great!! So happy it’s finally open. I want all the margs :drinking1
