Somehow I've never managed to hit up this station, but for our upcoming trip I'm really tempted by the Spicy Blackberry margarita.

BUT

I just can't get my logical and emotional brains to agree to the black ant salt rim. Will they do a regular salt rim on request?

First, if you didn’t know it was ants, you wouldn’t know it was ants (meaning there is no strange taste, just little pieces of ants). And you should be able to request a different salt, or even no salt.

Second, may want to go with a different margarita. We tried the blackberry and it was not a fan favorite (but that doesn’t mean you wouldn’t like it).

Thanks for your review! May I ask what made it not a favorite? I usually love blackberry as a component in drinks and desserts, but I also don't enjoy overly/sickly sweet things, so I'd like to know if that's the case.

I’m sure they will do regular salt but really the ants are not noticeable, it’s all ground up and there’s no odd flavor or much flavor at all other than the salt. Nothing to grapple with. And it’s fun to say you’ve tried it.

Ants always have a weird chemical smell to me (when I smash one or whatever) so that's my main concern, that I'd smell/taste something 'off'. But perhaps it depends on the type of ant.

One of my friends told me, when he went through military survival school, that they had to make “lemonade” out of ants. (No I don’t remember why LOl) But he said it tasted pretty much like lemon sage. IDK of that helps or makes it worse for you! But please let us know if you liked the blackberry; that sounds like the one I might like to try also!

Will do! I still want to know why Engineman02 didn't like it though, lol
