Okay, so my family and i are having 3 lunches at disneyland. We chose Hungry Bear, Pizza Port, and Tomorrowland Terrace. These choices are subject to chage. We've never eaten here so I need help, did we make the right choices? Me and my sister are big chicken tenders(nuggets, strips, etc) eaters!!

Thanks!

I would also look at Bengal Barbecue (not chicken strips, but very tasty) and the french market restaurant. It's nice to have a little variety.

I have not had a good lunch at Hungry Bear or Pizza Port. Tomorrowland Terrace has been good to us for breakfast, but we haven't eaten there for other meals.

Bengal Barbecue is our must do. I also like the Royal Street Veranda for gumbo bread bowls.

We were kind of disappointed with Tomorrowland Terrace burgers - but it was very late the night we ate there - so maybe we were just over tired.

Oh and I have heard somebody rave about the fried chicken that the French Market. I am not a huge fried chicken eater - but it comes recommended.

Another recommendation is that you might go to the Golden Horseshoe & get chicken tenders there, then stay to watch the Billy Hill & the Hillbillies show.

Tommorowland terrace is okay - can be pretty hard to find seating though. Its also pretty similar in scenery to the pizza port area.

Pizza Port is great!! Lots of seating (more over by Space mountain) and portion sizes are huge. The salads are great - but take the one without chicken, the chicken was not good. The pasta is my favourite, and the breadsticks are pretty good too.

Hungry Bear - have never eaten food from there but it is the kind of food you say you like. It's a really nice location as you can sit right by the rivers of america and its quiet because its sort of removed from the noise area.

I would second going to see the billy hill show. Definitely the kind of food you like, pretty quick service (get there at least 15 mins before show) and the entertainment and even the restaurant itself are great to look at :)

We ate at Hungry Bear last trip and we loved it. I think what helped was we were starving. I had the chicken sandwhich and DBF had the bacon cheeseburger. They both came with fries and we split onion rings AND a funnel cake. Lol, we ate EVERYTHING. (I told you we were starving!!) We sat in a nice shaded spot over looking the ducks swimming in the ROA. I thought the area was great.

We ate at Tommorowland Terrace in December, I think we both had the spicy chicken sandwhiches, they were decent. I know they have 2 menus, and I wanted to eat from the other menu, but it was closed. But we did eat there pretty late, so I'm assuming that's what that side was closed.

Pizza Port has really good salads and pastas, I like it there and there is always a lot of seating..

HTH!

In DCA we ate at a counter service place kinda by a Bug's Life and the Wine Trattoria area. They had chicken strips, fish & chips, etc. We got two of those and split them between the 3 of us. Finger food lunch. :thumbsup2

The Hungry Bear is good, I think I had a burger there. I remember pretty crazy lines, though.

Yes, ate at the French Market three weeks ago. Had their Royal Fried Chicken which is served over a bed of rice and beans and comes with a dinner roll and side salad. You get a lot of food for $10.99 here and their chicken is very delicious just make sure you grab some salt and pepper to add the extra flavor!

Like others have said, French Market has great chicken. But of the three you listed, Pizza Port would be my first choice. We usually get the pasta to split, and the kids get pizza.

We also get pizza and or pasta at Pizza Port and it's always very yummy, and lots of it! Plenty of seating, and I always refill my Diet Coke on the way out. You can't beat it!

So, since you mentioned you are big chicken tender type eaters, I will give my opinions. TL Terrace, burgers are pretty good, I had the chicken burger, good, but not great. Seating is a mess. Hungry Bear, not my fav or places to eat, it actually sits pretty low on my list of places, and I really couldnt tell you way. Never had a bad experience there or anything. Food wise, I would say it rates about the same as TL Terrace. RRPP, we love it, eat there almost everytime. The salads and pastas are pretty big. I had the chicken ceasar salad there before, very filling, and quite tasty. Definately would recommend.
I will 2nd, or 3rd, the votes for French Market. My husband and dad always get the fried chicken and they always love it :thumbsup2 (I get the beef stew in the bread bowl:goodvibes ). Also would recommend The Golden Horseshoe, that way you can watch a show as well, it is on our lunch list this year as well. Stage Door Cafe, nextdoor, I guess, to The Golden Horseshoe. The have tasy chicken tenders there, had some last April with Mozzerella sticks and hot chocolate for a late night snack!! :thumbsup2 Very very tasty. Riverbelle Terrace-very busy also. My kids loved their bbq chicken. Dont know if they still have it, that was before they re-did the place and I havent checked if their menu has changed at all. I think my lasy recommendation will go to Bengal BBQ, no tenders or the like their, but some excellant chicken skewers. A must for all Disneyland vacations!! ::yes:: (That way you can grap a skewer, then walk on over to the Dole stand and get your pineapple fix to go with your skewer!!:thumbsup2
HTH!!
We are big chicken eaters too!!

I didn't read the other posts, but I have eaten at Tomorrowland Terrace twice and been disgusted both times. I have also had the chx fingers at Golden Horseshoe, and do not think they are good at all. Pizza Port was good, Bengal BBQ is good (but a rip off more so than other places I think), and River Belle Terrace is good.

I ate at Hungry Bear a long time ago and can't remember about the food. Good luck! Have fun..

Tomorrowland Terrace is OK, they have decent sandwiches but we don't chose it much because it's not our favorite. Hungry Bear is good, we really like it, others don't but we have always enjoyed our food there. :) Pizza Port is a favorite! Love it!! Good pizza, good pasta, good salads! The Foccacia bread is good too. :) For chicken strips in DL though I would also suggest the chicken strips at the Billy Hill show, servings are generous, we shared an order of chicken strips & fries and an order of cheese sticks & fries between 4 people, 2 kids, 2 adults. Yes, we had sundaes after but we shared those as well. :)

In CA I highly recommend the Taste Pilots Grill, good chicken sandwiches and you can add tons of BBQ sauce. :)

Pizza Port, French Market, and Rancho Del Zocale(by Big Thunder) all have free refills on sodas purchased during the same visit. It's a nice way to keep hydrated in the midst of the heat. I like all 3 quite well as they have a nice variety.

I'm with the others on recommending having chicken strips at the Billy Hill show--and if someone wants something different they can walk across to Rancho Del Zocalo for some Mexican food and bring it back to watch the show. Or the turkey leg cart is outside too.

And they also have chimichangas at the Turkey leg cart. DBF loves those.

Have always had good food at Pizza Port and love the corndogs at both parks.
