choosing a resort?

do you recommend going to beach club, yacht club dvc resorts and paying cash for a night to see if you like each one to see the inside since the sales rep only let you see sarratoga or animal kingdom.

I don't know how it would work with a DVC inquiry, but when I was staying at the WL I did ask them to see a room equiped for the disabled. I was planning a stay for my parents and my dad uses a wheel chair. They gladly showed me an unoccupied room. I don't see why you couldn't ask at the Beach Club to see an unoccupied villa...one would think if you were interested in purchasing this wouldn't be too much to ask.

There are no DVC villas at YC, just at BCV.

They'd be happy to show you an unoccupied villa. No reason to pay to stay there just to see a villa. Hint: Ask to see a two bedroom villa, since those are made up of a 1 bedroom villa plus a studio. That way, you can see all three types of villa at once.

If you opt to ask to see a villa and have already seen AKL and SSR I would also look into AWV and OKW. BWV are very different then the others you mentioned as is OKW. OKW also has the added benefit of having the largest rooms on site.

If you want to look and have the time, maybe see one of the DVC people around the parks and resorts. I didn't have time to do the tour but they offered us free hoppers for the day if we went.

the dvc resorts are

AKV
BWV
BCV
VWL
OKW
SSR

if you are thinking of BCV - just go by the front desk at BCV (not BC) and ask to see any rooms.

due this after 11:00am and before 4:00pm - and you might get luck.

the only problem is that BCV is the most popular of the DVC resorts and many nights there is just nothing to show you. It is full and stays that way.

the only think I don't like is the sofa - it feels like sand paper - because (I think) of SALB - DVC was sure we would use SALB alot. so the sofa is water proof. which makes it harder to clean when something is spilled

also for AKV - the kidani rooms are being shown at SSR - not the ones at jambo - they are slightly changed.
