Choosing a resort/monorail ??

We are planning a weekend trip to WDW following our cruise in Sept. In trying to choose a resort, I am leaning toward the Polynesian as we have 3 young kids and it will be convenient to be on the monorail. One of our kids (age 7) will be in a wheelchair, and our two toddlers will be in a double (front and back) stroller. The WDW Unofficial guide says that those with large strollers and wheelchairs should use the MK ferry.
Does this mean we will have problems using the monorail with all of our transportation devices? If so, we would choose a cheaper resort (and I'm open to suggestions!).

Thanks!

The only problem you may have with the monorail would be needing to use different cars, but I think the wheelchair car will also fit you front/back double, provided the space isn't alreaady in use(not the wheelchair space but the space on the other side of the car where the stroller would go).

Kids are lighter than adults, but my DW and I tend to avoid the monorail because of the steepness of the ramps--it's a tough push with the w/c and I've learned to back down since I'm afraid of what would happen if my grip slipped. However, I've been told that they are fixing this--not sure when though.

::yes::
The ramp is very steep, both at the TTC and at MK. That is probably why the Unofficial Guide says that. There is a wheelchair car on the monorail. Whether or not you will be able to fit a wheelchair and a double stroller on will depend on the sizes of the different devices.

I have heard rumors that they are going to change the ramps to be less steep, but not when.

They are in the process of modifying all the monorail cars to allow more space for wheelchairs and ECVs, which will also give more room for the strollers.
