Choosing a resort! Help!

My fiance and I will be in WDW in late November for our honeymoon.

We cannot for the life of us decide what resort we want to stay at! I've done a split stay before, and while its interesting to stay in two different places, I just love the idea of just staying in one spot. With that being said, we really haven't done a major budget for this trip (I know, not helpful!), because we're having a small intimate wedding.

For a moderate resort choice, I'm loving Port Orleans Riverside! I'd love to stay in the Mansion section. It's beautiful, they have the carriage ride which would fun and then I love the boat to Disney Springs!

For a deluxe resort, I'm torn between Animal Kingdom Lodge (Savannah view), The Boardwalk (the ability to walk to Epcot and HS is amazing!), and The Polynesian!

Yes, the rates are all over the place. i just can't decide what feels best for us.

Any input?

I've stayed at POR before! it was beautiful and very romantic!

My husband and i will be staying at POP for our first 5 nights then end our trip at Port Orleans French Quarters for our anniversary trip! We are doing a split stay because we are going for two weeks and wanted to save some money.

I've never stayed at AKL, Boardwalk or Poly.. but i have stayed at The Beach Club and LOVED how easy it was to walk to EPCOT and get to HS! I've at Grand Floridian and enjoyed staying so close to Magic Kingdom! We had a room that we could see the fireworks every night!

POR is amazing. I love the rooms and the feel of the hotel.

I have stayed at AKL and I do not like how far away the other parks it is but waking up to animals outside your window is great.

When my husband and I make our trip we may stay at POR. I would love the Grand Floridain. That is my dream WDW resort to stay at.

Of course I wouldn't mind staying at the Grand Floridian but I'm not sure it's "us" kwim?

Anyway tonight we'll sit down and price each resort out and see what we think!

So....

After about 4 hours of "debating" so to speak we've decided to stay at the Contemporary in a Garden view room!

A few reasons for this decision:

1. We decided that we wanted to be close to a theme park (which is all of the deluxe resorts...), which then nixed POR/POFQ/CS/CB.
2. My fiancé has this love of the monorail. He says its "so Disney" and wanted to stay on the monorail line. Obviously that nixes the Epcot resorts and AKL.
3. As we were debating between the Contemporary, the Poly and the Grand Floridian, we just "knew" that for the price, a garden view room at the contemporary was the way to go. The proximity to MK is just unbeatable, and its just a short ride away on the monorail to Epcot.

Anyway, we've decided to add the dining plan as well. So, we're booked and ready to go!

Next up is making a plan for our dining reservations!

This just feels so exciting!
