Hey everyone... I am wondering if you all can help me with this! We are spending a week in Disney and need a hotel for the second week, which we're spending in Orlando. We plan on going back to Disney a couple of times, going to Sea World, and doing some shopping during this second week.
I've been looking at several hotels, and I just want a really nice, but reasonable place to stay.

Any thoughts on:
- Radisson Lake Buena Vista
- Hampton Inn-Closest to Universal (on Windhover)
- Hampton Inn South Lake Buena Vista (on Calypso Cay Way)

Also open to any suggestions you may have... My budget is about $100/night
Thanks

For that $ try looking into a deal at some of the Marriot Village LBV, or Courtard LBV on Palm Pkwy (sometimes there are good deals to be had). Check out Mousesavers maybe. These are all great locations between SW and WDW. FWIW.

I was also looking at Fairfield Inn International Drive. Which I think I can get for $76/night. Has anyone actually stayed here?

go read

www.tripadvisor.com

for the reviews first.

here is a map
www.orlandoinfo.com/maps

now it does not have the timeshares and some of the other hotels. but it has most of the hotels in the area - plus where they are in location to SW and US/IOA, as well as disney.

might go with ID - if you get some nice reviews (not great one just nice ones)

I have been reading trip advisor a lot these days, I just don't really know where to start, and it's getting so close!

I don't really like the reviews on Trip Advisor. I thik there are lots of trolls there, who write bad reviews to try and sterr people away from places. More than once I've stayed at places with bad reiews on there and found the places to be very nice.

where do you want to be - closer to SW or WDW?

also are you considering US/IOA?

for $96 per night you can get a value resort - but that only works if you are going to WDW.

boy got a shock even laquinta are $85 a night.

close to SW are some timeshares - but probably too late to get them.

there is also Hilton Garden which is not available.

the HGVC also from SW is - but for $149 per night for studio - not worth it.

might just go with the travel agency sponsor. -

I'm not looking for a villa, there are only 2 of us, and a hotel room will suit us just fine. We are not going to universal, but will be heading back to disney a few times (maybe) and going to sea world as well. We will be shopping too, outlets and the Florida Mall. I just want to stay somewhere convenient to these places. We will have a rental car.

the problem is the area between Disney and SW - can remember the timeshares easier than any hotels.

maybe Buena Vista Suities - although definitely closer to WDW than SW - still kinda of in the middle.

you can get a good rate here.

there is a hilton garden inn - close by SW.

residence Inn by sw.
boy so sorry they are both more expensive.

now these hotels are the best by any means - but are fairly cheap

I'm getting stressed about this! I think I have left it too long but haven't been able to decide for so long! Sigh...
I don't know what to do...
How far away is the hampton inn (on Windhover) I've been looking at from Disney and Sea World, is this a good area?

We stayed at the Hampton Inn on I-Drive, the one behind Salt Market. I has a good central location and we got a King Suite for $99 during a holiday weekend. I suite was really nice, the bed had a fluffy comforter and a desk with free high speed.

I have stay here yet. But I know the location is a excellent one. It has plenty of resturants in the area is down the street from Sew World. Close to WDW.

It at the Hawthorne Suites last year on Canada Avenue. Which right next to Fairfield Inn on Canada Avenue. On tripadvisor.com it has excellent reviews. Plus I love the location because there is restuarnats in walking distance to the hotel.

We stayed there for a week in August 2007. We booked the hotel through the Universal Studios website. It's one of their "partner hotels". It's a very nice hotel for the price. Very clean and I believe it no more than 3 or 4 years old. The staff at the front desk were friendly.

We had a King Suite. It's not huge, but it's bigger than a standard room. There's a wall that seperates the king bed from the living area which has a sofa bed (for the kids). The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed that I've ever slept on. There's a mini-fridge, a microwave, and a coffee maker. A free continental breakfast is included and there's a free shuttle service which we used to go to Universal Studios during the day. After 6PM parking is free, so we drove to Universal in the evenings.

I would definitely stay there again (if my timeshare at Bonnet Creek was not available).
