Choosing a character breakfast.

I am having a hard time deciding on which character breakfast to go with. DD is 10 and DS is 6, so nothing too princess-y! Which ones have the Mickey waffles? I was looking at the menus page, but am wondering if it's really accurate. We were at O'hana several years ago, and the menu looks different now. How hard is it to get into Chef Mickey's, am I already to late to get an ADR for mid-Oct?

HELP!!! :yay:

Well, Chef Mickey's is the classic, and they do have the waffles. Personally, I would choose (since your kids are old enough and not set on seeing anyone in particular, it sounds) based on what else you'll be doing that day and the ease of going to a given character breakfast. We've enjoyed Chef Mickey's, Donald's Breakfastasaurus at AK, and the Pooh crew at CP in MK -- I'd go for whatever's closest to whatever else you're doing that day. And, don't fret about what ADRs will or won't be available -- just call 'em up and try!

If you can live without the characters for breakfast Trail's End restaurant at Ft. Wilderness has an awesome breakfast buffet. Cheap too... and with Mickey waffles :mickeyjum

We have done Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's and Ohanas... Do your kids like the Pooh characters as they are at the CP? If you really want the traditional-- Mickey, Minnie, Pluto and Goofy--, Chef Mickey's is the way to go. My kids loved the food at both CP and CMs...

If you can't get an early ADR at either, think about a late breakfast--11:30. That way you can go to MK early, do some rides and then eat. We love eating at 11:30 at CM (do the MK for a few hours first) or 8:05 at CP (eat and head out as the park opens.)

Ohanas was fun, but my kids didn't care for the breakfast food as much as the other two places. It is not a buffet, but served family style.

Good luck!!

We go over every year! All my kids like it! I love the food - good variety without being overwhelming. We love the family-style service. At the buffets, sometimes my DH or me may miss it when the characters come by our table as we're getting food from the buffet. I love O'hanas because we don't miss any of the character interaction. That's something I always enjoy - seeing my kids glow as the character nears our table.

I have been trying to get a Chef Mickeys breakfast for 10/19 to the 22nd on any day and the same for 11/30 to 12/4 and they are all booked up...I call every day hoping for a miracle but in the meantime I booked CP and 1900 Park Faire
