I've never been to Alabama, I can't really vouch for it.

But besides for Orlando and Miami, and shore areas like Boca Raton and Coco Beach, I'm not that fond of Florida, either.

No offense, but I've grown up all my life in the south and I'm just tired of it. I need something different. And Florida is the most 'yankee' state in the southern US.

that's what I thought too. I was thinking that I would be more accepted in FL because I am way more yankee than anything because I grew up in the North even though I now live in TX.
