DH & I get a night off to celebrate our anniversary (my folks will have the girls) and we are undecided as to where to go - So we thought we would take a poll - These are our choices - choose wisely and tell us why you chose the place you did! Thanks!!

My DW and I have been to all except Jiko-- for our 25th anniversary last year we went to Artist Point in WL. It was terrific! The service was excellent, the food was fantastic and the mood was very romantic.

Having said that, I think you would not go wrong with CG either. If by some chance MK was doing fireworks that night, this would be an excellent choice!

We ended up flipping a coin to choose between CG and AP -- AP won and we don't regret the choice for a minute.

Well I am going to be absolutely no help since out of all of your choices we have only eaten at CG-but we LOVED it!! I am looking forward to a "grown ups" only meal there sometime. It would be especially romantic to eat there during the MK fireworks:D

DH and I had dinner at the California Grille on our Anniversary in May. The atmosphere and food were top notch, our service was a little lacking though. We have eaten at Artist Point also, but the view of the castle at California Grille was just so perfect for a romantic anniversary dinner. Artist point however had PERFECT service and a wonderful menu as well, just not quite so romantic. Have fun choosing and happy anniversary!

Well, I voted even tho I haven't been to any of them. However, we are going to have a night out w/o the kids on our next trip and we chose Jiko over California Grill. The 2 reasons were:

1) CG menu just did not do it for us. My husband wrinkled his nose at it. He was the one who originally wanted to go there for the view.

2) We wanted to check out the Animal Kingdom resort and the menu looked yummy to both of us.

That's my 2 cents worth. I see Jiko is one of the less chosen on the poll tho.
:(

I see CG is winning and I must say that for the life of me I don't know why. I've only eaten at 2 on the list and I must say of those two Jiko wins hands down for a romantic dinner for two. CG has a tendency to be loud, which was great for 3 ladies celebrating a birthday with a lot of wine. But for my Fiancee and I, Jiko was perfect. Delicious food, sumptous wines, and a wonderfully intimate and beautiful atmosphere.

I've eaten at CG and Narcoosee's. The food at Narcoosee's was much better than the food at CG. The view at CG is really nice, but Narcoosee's has a nice view too. I also found that Narcoosee's had the better service. The chef even came out to our table to see how we enjoyed our meal. I felt rather rushed at CG, but I guess it must be experienced at least once for the view.:D

Add us to the group that isn't enthralled with CG. Ate there with another couple who just love it there. We really didn't like the menu offerings. Just too trendy for us. We are having our adults night out at Artist Point next week. Very romantic.

All are pretty great, but I'd choose California Grill. It's where I spent my birthday, and I was, as usual, happy I did. I hope your anniversary is on a night when the fireworks are scheduled at the Magic Kingdom. If so, make your Priority Seating in order to be finished in time to step outside on the observation deck or book about 20 minutes after the fireworks start but arrive in time to pick up a drink at the bar and head outside.

Hope this helps.

DW and I love Narcoosee's. The food and service here is awesome. You can also see the fireworks with piped in music here. Request a window seat with a castle view.

Ive eaten at all (but Artiste Point), just last week :)...i loved them all, but if i had to pick 1 it would be Narcoossees, it was great....actually i'd pick CITRICOS above all of them, but its not listed....

I love Artist Point just for the cool location...taking the boat and walking up the long pier. I thought the menu was unique and the food was great.
We spent our Honeymoon and two of last five (third and fifth) anniversaries at WDW and we had our most romantic dinner at V&A on all three trips. Next trip will be our seventh anniversary and both turning 40. Definately hitting V&A.
Super romantic. Consider it.

I chose Narcoosee's because I like the menu better. I have heard good and bad reviews, but overall the good has been more the norm. I feel it would be a nice, more grown up experience for us, and maybe you too. Mickey

california grill is our favorite wdw restaurant.

we ate at sitdowns almost exclusively for our 3 week wedding/honeymoon to disney and it was the one that most impressed us. great food, great service, great view, great wine. if we had the money, we'd be back there in a flash. :teeth:

AP in the WL is VERY ROMANITC & was written up in a Florida newspaper as being "the best of the best" not only in WDW but in all of FLA. Its a MUST DO!!!!!!!:Pinkbounc

We did California Grill for a late dinner in December for our last anniversary and it was PERFECT. The fireworks from the terrace, the food, the wine, the service, everything. Can't say enough about it.

Then again, with your list of choices, it would be hard to go wrong!

Best Wishes,

My DH is itting next to me & he told me to tell you to go back a page or 2 & read the thread entilted;

Tell me about Artist Point ...

not a bad review on the thread! He'd of voted on your pole too but he forgot his password, AGAIN! (LOL!!)

The California Grill is soooooooo overrated. It is very noisy and crowded and not at all romantic. The food was also very bland. Try one of the out of the way restaurants and Victoria and Alberts in the Grand Floridian is great. I know everyone raves about the CG,but I don't see it.
