We have one day off from Disney during our stay at the beginning of October.
I want to do something stupid and typically touristy.
I have narrowed our choices to :Titanic Experience, Gatorland or Pirates Dinner Adventure. Which of these would you recommend?
I'm not necessarily looking for the least expensive thing, just the one that is most worth the price of admission.
We went to Dolly's Dixieland Stampede last year and actually had a lot of fun.

Thanks:thumbsup2

We've only done gatorland so I can only speak to that. We were there X-mas 2005 with our then 6 and 4 year old girls. We all loved it. We did all the free shows they had, gator "wrestling", the show with snakes, lizards, spiders.... We had a really great time and took some great pics. Word of warning, after each show their was a photo opportunity that cost extra. The extra cost did not get you a picture (that would cost more), it gave you the opportunity to take your own picture. We did one where each girl sat on the bag of a gator with it's mouth taped shut and a handler holding the head up (I know it sounds barbaric for the poor animal). Don't bother with the extra fee to take the train to the "back" of the park. There was really nothing to see and it was just a little train ride that cost extra. I have no idea if gatorland is much changed after the fire they had. I'd be curious to hear from some one who's been there recently.

We have done both Pirates and Gatorland. We had a good time at both but I would probably choose Gatorland over Pirates.

Gatorland were setting up a new water zone which I though I heard was open now. It is a nice leisurely half day attraction and leaves half a day for a nice dinner or a swim in the pool (or both!). If you don't like gators, reptiles and snakes, then give it a miss.

We had fun with Pirates. Our kids enjoyed it and we all got into the spirit of cheering for your pirate. Food in the show is not brilliant plus they don't bring food for children without tickets (for example our 2YO!) I wish I had known that when we bought tickets. Do eat as much pre-show food as you can - that was better that what was served during the show. Do search for discounted tickets before going.

If I had a day spare at WDW I would probably go to Typhoon Lagoon in WDW. It is a nice tropical place to spend a few hours. You can just relax or do all the slides. Don't miss the snorkel with the sharks. Your choice. Great places for kids of all ages to play. Go after 2pm when the early morning crowds are leaving - you should get 4-5 hours of quieter time there (do check closing time!). Do check out the ice creams (served in a green pail with a shovel for a spoon!).

What ever you decide, enjoy!

Out of those three I think I would choose Gatorland. It is 15 years since we went to it but DH and I enjoyed it then - even had gator nuggets for lunch!

Out of those three choices, I would choose Gatorland. My 7 yr old son really enjoyed it.

Thanks everyone. I'm going for Gatorland, I think. I always thought that was a "musts do" when visiting Florida and since will be my 9th time to Florida, it's about time for me.
