We really enjoyed the martini tasting last week on the Magic and would love to make the chocolatini over the holidays. It was the best Chocolatini I have ever had! Anyone have DCL's recipe? Thanks!!!

OMG, I would love to have the recipe as well. When we were on the Magic in 06' We were in Sessions every night so I could have the chocolate martini. Let's just say that I was happy to be at dinner!

Here is the recipe as listed on the Martini Tasting sheet.

1/2 oz Vanilla Vodka
1/2 oz dark Godiva
1/2 oz Franjelico
1/2 oz Baileys

I don't remember what was said about the choclate coating on the sides and bottom.:sad1:

Put all the ingredients in the "Boston" shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a martini glass.

Enjoy:cloud9:

I love chocolate! I've never had a "regular" martini, much less a chocolate one. Is the Chocolatini sweet? TIA

As a former bartender, I've always used plain ol' chocolate syrup for the chocolate swirl inside the glass. Simple, but makes for a great presentation!

I want to do the martini tasting on our cruise. At what point can you sign up for this? Does it usually fill up fast? TIA.

That is what was said at the tasting, too. Just can't remember the exact technique they used to get the swirl.

Yes the swirl is just plain old chocolate syrup. If you like the chocolatini you should try a chocolate covered cherry martini. Chocolate cherry vodka, white chocolate liquer a bit of marashino cherry juice and the same chocolate drizzle. I also like to wet the top of the glass and dip in sugar....yum

I used to just drizzle the syrup while turning the glass. Each one came out differently. Personally I try to get as thin a stream as possible to create a kind of web effect. I'll try to check them out next week when we are on the Wonder to see what they do exactly!

Thanks for the recipe. I do remember they said they pour a little chocolate syrup in the bottom and pull up lines along the inside of the glass with a tooth pick. Makes sort of a star pattern on the bottom.

You won't need to try, I will have at least with you!!!

Thank you for the recipes! They sound delicious, I can't wait to try them!
