Chocolate placecards

It seems to me that most favors end up being more landfill - I really think favors should be something edible so I am considering doing the chocolate placecards instead of favors. So I am thinking out loud here - would we have a table with "escort cards" on it (i.e. Mary Smith is at Table 2) and then a chocolate placecard at "Mary Smith's" place at the table? Do you put first and last names on the chocolate placecards or just first names? How does it work to get these done? Do you just give your WP a list of the names and then Disney produces them? How far in advance do you have to get this done? Someone told me they were $6 apiece - does anyone have a price list for these?

I too am doing edible favors. I have read many forums saying how much people don't like useless favors. If you're event is formal I would suggest using first and last names. Also- if you have multiple people wth the same first name you should use first and last names. That's as far as I can help you. I don't know any pricing. You should just shoot your WP an e-mail. You could always do a board with everyone's table assignments and the placecards at the table. good luck with the rest of your planning!

I am going to do edible favours for the same reason. The chocolate place cards would have the guests name on it and the example I saw had a first and last name and then underneath it said their table number. I am thinking that they would take the place card from the table and sit wherever they wanted at that table #? Unless you put a paper name card at each spot or you do a board like Indy Bride suggested. I do not know about pricing yet but you could pick dark chocolate, regular chocolate, or white chocolate for the "card" part and then on the left hand side they can put a chocolate circle (white or brown) that has the castle drawn on it, cinderella's carriage, or mickey. They tie the top with coloured ribbon.

I did this. I got married at Shades of Green so did them myself. Each table was named after one of our favorite attractions. The chocolate went with that name. Example "Beauty and the Beast" had a rose chocolate. There were tags on each with the persons name.

We used the chocolate mickey ears - we put both first and last names on the "face" and then the table number was on one of the ears.
We sent disney the list of guests and the table numbers and they took care of the rest.
I can't remember exactly but $6.00 sounds about right. It was totally worth it though- i loved them!!

New trend in Green weddings: flowering paper. You can buy name cards, menus etc on paper that is embedded with seeds of wild flowers. Then, after the party, just add water and voila, eco-friendly!

I did chocolate placecards! They were awesome...and they are $6 a piece, not bad considering you are getting your favor and placecard in one shot :)

Here's a pic

The chocolate placecards look really smart actually, but I was wondering if these can be done for Escape weddings where there may only be 12 people including the bride and groom?

We are looking at booking the Chef's Domaine room at Citrico's for our reception, and would like Disney floral to add some table decorations for us which I know is possible, is it them that also organise these placecards?

Just thought perhaps there might be a minimum number required, or that they can only be done for proper Wishes receptions, and not self organised Escape ones?

These are ordered through your Disney floral contact, and I'm sure they'd be happy to sell you ANYTHING you want! :thumbsup2

We had them for our escape wedding and we only had 8 of them done. I told them what names and where on the table they should go and it was all done when we got to the room. We also had our dinner at Citrico's in the Chef's Domain, you will love it! :lovestruc We also had the Mickey head chocolates done with our names and our wedding date. They were both a big hit!

For the wedding we had the long and low flower arrangement at the ceremony and had them take it over to Citrico's for our table centerpiece. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of it yet but I will post when I get them.

That would be great if you could post the arrangements, so I can get some ideas!
At Sea Breeze Pointe is there a table or something set up for arrangements to go on do you know? I was wondering about transferring flowers from the ceremony to the reception myself??

I'm intrigued-do they look like the hats? Where could I see a picture of these? Thanks!! :)
