chocolate pie help needed!

My sister in law mentioned that her kids LOVE chocolate cream pie. I would love to make on instead of buying one.

When we were kids my Mom's idea of chocolate cream pie was chocolate pudding in a pie shell with whipped cream on top. I know that this is perfectly good, but I would like to try to make a fluffier pie.

Does anyone have an EASY recipe for one?

The easiest recipe (and the one my kids love the most!) is really too easy and good. Here it goes...

1 pkg. choc. instant pudding (if you can find choc. fudge kind, all the better!)
1 cup milk (2%, whole, 1%--I use what I have on hand)
1 8 oz. container of cool whip (store brand is fine here)

I mix all of this up with a wire wisk, then pour it into a purchased graham cracker pie shell. If you want it more chocolatey, you can grate up some Hershey bar into the pie mix. I also buy the 12 oz. cool whip, and just spread the leftover on top of the finished pie. Then you can grate some more Hershey bar on top of that. Yum!

Sorry, I should have specified...

This is the regular size pkg. of instant pudding mix, not the larger box. I think it's around 3 1/2 oz. or so.
