are these as popular and as easily available over there as they are here?

I'm sure they will be but we would like to get one for the girls and just thought I'd check since we will be there for the whole of the Easter period

you mean those chocolate eggs with colorful wrappers?..
oh yes....there are tons and tons and tons and tons and tons of them.....of all different sizes and manufacturers.....

i don't know about WDW, but all you have to do is pop into any grocery store, or walmart/walgreens/target/kmart/7-11/etc/etc...and you'll see lots and lots and lots of them...

after all, anything that can be sold related to a holiday is sold in america....in fact, i bet they already have them out...oh no...first they'll have all the garbage out for valentines day....then the day after valentines day the stores will be flooded with easter garbage......not to worry....

Good to know the answer to this one :)

yes but are they horrid american chocolate? yuck!

she only asked if there would be chocolate eggs.....

sometimes you see cadbury chocolate.....and various and sundry swiss/belgian/whatever chocolate.......
but of course you'll mostly see american chocolate....but i doubt kids are all that discriminating when it comes to sweets....and holidays...

Don't be fooled by Cadbury Chocolate Eggs made in the US - they are still made of horrible American chocolate. The only way you can be sure it is proper decent tasting stuff is to look and see where it was made and make sure it is UK or where-ever the manufacturer's home country is!

We always take out own as no one in our family likes the chocolate in the US
(including the kids, they notice the difference).
If you don't notice the difference then get them when you arrive as there will be tons available and it is very inexspensive.

i think the cadbury i see when i'm on a home visit is manufactured in Canada (since it's just across the river there)....

interesting now that you mention it....because i never liked cadbury...
but where we live now, the cadbury comes from the UK....and it is indeed much better...or perhaps my tastebuds have changed...i like the plain old milk chocolate...very nice...

I've been to WDW several times at Easter, and despite the many hours I've spent wandering around Walmart never seen an Easter Egg like we have in the UK. They have all kinds of chocolatey things (like lovely Easter baskets with fluffy bunnies and chocolate in), but not eggs like you'd buy for Easter here.

Look out for marshmallow Peeps though, little marshmallow chicks that come in a billion colours, I'm a big fan! :teeth:

ITA
In the US they mainly make up Easter baskets with candy and small choclate bunnies and eggs etc. From my experience there I've never seen the type of Easter eggs that we have here.

Easter would'nt be Easter without real cadbury's chocolate :worship: . Just pack the easter eggs in your bag and take them with you. That way you won't be disappointed.
