Chocolate Covered Strawberries?

I posted a similar question on the resorts board but I'm not sure if the same people visit each board.

My future DH wants to surprise me with chocolate covered strawberries on our honeymoon. The only option he got from calling WL front desk was to order from FTD. I know that poly and GF have them available for in room dining. Has anyone had any luck getting WL to deliver something not normally on the menu (I saw that you can get cakes with 24 hr notice) if you give them enough notice? Also is there anywhere in the world to buy choc covered strawberries - a restaurant or CS?

I don't know anything about getting them delivered, but I can tell you that they have them at Ghiradelli at Downtown Disney. They are incredible!!

Yes you can have them at the WL . They make them right there. The prob is your hubby to be was asking the wrong people. At the front desk they probably have no idea what you are talking about. Have him call again and ask to be transferred to room service. They will place the order for tuxedo strawberries. Be carefult hough they are expensive.... like $2 or $3 a piece so dont order like 2 dozen lol They also have a champagne and wine list and we ordered a bottle of dom for last year.

Also the main street confectionary and any little treat places like that sell choc covered strawberries....

Skylarr - thanks for the wonderful news. I'll tell him to ask for room service next time he calls.

GoodFairies - well the surprise part will now be "when" I get them. He would rather I get them and know about it than not be able to give something to me at all. And since he knows I visit these boards all the time he figured I'd get a better answer than using FTD for some flowers. Plus, nothing is every really a surprise b/w us except for the timing it seems

Chocolate-covered strawberries and champagne are a favorite of ours. Don't expect we'll get to enjoy them at Disney any time soon with the kids along. Maybe someday . . .

BTW, this is our traditional "milk and cookies" for Santa on Christmas Eve (the kids just don't know it!!).
