DH and I love to get Chocolate bread at our local bakery on Saturdays, is there a place to get it in WDW? I was thinking the bakery at France in Epcot might have it, has anyone run across Chocolate Bread while visiting the World?

I've only seen chocolate muffins and chocolate croissants.

Are you talking about a chocolate pound cake or babka? Both are amazing but I have never seen them at WDW

At Olivia's in OKW, the breakfast menu has a french toast with dried mango and dark chocolate chips baked into it....oh wow was this great!

The chocolate bread here is a hard white dinner roll (not sourdough, more like a french bread dough) with dark chocolate chips throughout sprinkled with cinnamon sugar. It's not too sweet and the bread is not buttery like a croissant. It's not as rich as a chocolate croissant. It's heavenly. WDW has plenty of treats of other sorts. We'll just have to explore those. Thanks.

That's interesting! I've never heard of it either. It sounds great! Would you mind shipping us some? :p Or just bring it to WDW with you & I'll drove over & pick it up. :teeth:

Or a recipe? I wouldn't mind trying to make it because it sounds pretty darn tasty. :thumbsup2

Our grocery store used to carry a chocolate bread with dried cherries and chocolate chunks. It was so good - especially toasted with a spread of cream cheese. They don't carry it any more.

Haven't seen it at Disney - know it isn't in France. Le Cellier had a chocolate bread pudding made with chocolate bread about five years ago, but it was a dessert special I've only seen once.

I'm at WDW right now and haven't seen anything like that. I know that there isn't any chocolate bread at the bakery in France. If I see anything similar, I'll let you know.:)

But ohmigod does that sound soooo good!!! At my local grocery store, they make the type of bread that crisi described. :)
