*Chocolate and Pixie Dust* - An August 2008 TR- 8/29 pg 6: Sort of an update

I have to upload the life size Flat Stanley photos tonight.

I loved my HS. But it really depends. Girls can be catty at that age.

Yes... and DD is oblivious to that sort of thing.. so one of two things could have happened... she could have STAYED oblivious :goodvibes or she could have ended up being the brunt of that type of cattiness. I liked the idea of her seeing boys on a daily basis, with all their good AND goofiness, and not just on their "best behavoir" at school sponsored dances, etc.. ;)

:rotfl2: :lmao: I would have loved to see u doing this.
Oh, you should have seen me - I had the DJ at the anniversary party take a picture with him, I had DH's aunt and uncle take a picture cutting the cake with him... and I wrote a whole journal about the trip... my students LOVED it! But then again, they always loved when I acted like a nut! :lmao: Then they got to send their own to someone and report back. It was fun.

Just follow the trail of empty pineapples :lmao:

Hope there are some left for you.... we go in JUNE!!!!!

Uh Oh. I just read over on the alcohol porn thread that there is actually a lounge at the Poly called Tambu (or something) where you can get Lapu Lapu's. I thought you had to have an ADR for table service. This is great news!

Ok DISers, I know you have the answer to these two questions:

1. What's the best place to order custom t-shirts?

2. Are there places besides the Walt Disney World Florist to order gift baskets?

Oh and if you're a lurky loo, join in. We have nightly cocktail hours :lmao:

I see that others mentioned zazzle -- that was going to be my suggestion.

Don't know about the florists. :(

What's Basin?? What's Basin??? You mean you haven't been to Basin yet??? It bath supplies galore...I usually spend $50 or more on their "home made" soaps that you buy by the pound (they come in bar size...they are just priced by weight). They smell so good and have really cute designs... like if it smells like strawberries then it will have soap strawberries inbedded in it.

I'm currently out of Basin soap...either I didn't buy enough the last time I was there or it's been too long between trips.

I haven't been to Basin. But after your description, it's a must do!
I love great smelling soaps and bath things. I could probably pick up a few gifts there. My credit card better hide.

Heidi... psst- www dot basin dot com.... you cant smell through your computer, but you can get stuff there. I just got the sugar scrub for my friend for her birthday.

And to think I have walked by there sooo many times without stopping in -- totally trying it in June and going to look at their webiste now!!! Thanks Heidi and Beana!!!

Please do. I will bring them to one of our classrooms, and they'll give good ideas too...
WHA? You need to go....see Heidi's answer...wait..here it is...

Ok, I'll PM you about Stanley.

I'm going to check out that website too. Too bad smells don't come through the computer. Well, at least good smells.

I've never had a lapu lapu, but last night I read PrincessV's TR and now I really, really feel a craving for pineapple. And booze.
:drinking1

I think lapu lapus will be my holy grail this summer in Disney.

We had a brother school. Oh the drama that went on :rotfl2:

I hope they get in a shipment of pineapples before I get there :lmao:

Hmmm while T is taking his nap, I can head to Tambu :lmao:

I'm going to order from Zazzle.

Maybe I should get a tshirt made with a picture of a lapu lapu on it.

Disney Quest would be a good option while they're at La Nouba.

Or I can brave the crowds and go to the MK with him alone :scared1:
I'll be armed with his stroller, so I'll be safe.

I'm thinking the Poly may run out of pineapples in August. I showed my mom a pics of Lapu Lapus and she wants one now. My dad, on the other hand, keeps asking when he has to take off from work :scared1:

I checked the zazzle website and it looks great. I'm going to order some tshirts.

I'll check out Betsy.

I'm really hoping for P&PP in August. Your tr has sold me on the idea of getting tickets to this.

well I hope u both get a Lapu

I would do zazzle, the shirts I got were simple but good.

I hope P&PP is then, you will have a great time.

I am sure whatever u do with your nephew he will love it.

use Betsy.

Thanks for advice Scott :flower3:
I think I should call you TourGuideScott or TGS for short. You and Jordan, TGJ, could start your own website! Give Mike a run for his money.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

And your crocs!

You know someone from the DIS would take a picture, and you would find yourself on the Theme Parks Community thread!

I should just dress up at home and post a pic here :lmao:
Not sure what to do about the mullet :confused3 Maybe I could get a wig ....

I'm considering switching our one night room only ressie from the CR to the GF. Not sure if I should do this. I liked the GF, but not sure if it'll be too stuffy and not kid friendly enough. We want to be close to the Poly since we're switching resorts the next day. Any thoughts on the WL? I haven't considered that one and not sure if I should.

Any ideas? Suggestions?

I am sure there are wigs of mullets! :scared1:

Stay with the Contemporary -- I think you will really like your one-night stay there! We stayed there in '87 (21 years ago! :scared1: ), and I loved it! Then, you can check CR off your list -- besides the theme park views are out of this world!

That's why you should plan a whole day in DTD for shopping like I do...I go into every store. Send the DH and kids to a water park or DisneyQuest so you can shop in peace!

I think lapu lapus will be my holy grail this summer in Disney.

I'm guessing that you haven't seen the prices of those Lapu Lapu drinks yet...at least $8 a pop for one.

Our jr league hockey team has a mullet event every year where they give out mullet wigs

I think you should either stay at the CR or pick whatever resort you don't think you will want to return to so you can cross it off your list.
