*Chocolate and Pixie Dust* - An August 2008 TR- 8/29 pg 6: Sort of an update

:goodvibes Ouch, how did that happen? Reading the Passporter is good medicine! :thumbsup2 I just read abut free dining and I am dying!!!!! :hyper: There is NO WAY we could swing it but that's what lured us last year for our first trip. :cloud9:
Yea, us too, 2 years in a row..Mid Sept, it way,way too hot last year..

We were the 15-25 and it was awesome! There was only day that was a little warm for me. I would love to go back this year!
Were you in the same park? We were 14-22nd and sweated as soon as we walked out the door of our room...Do you remember the tornado? we were in MK waiting for Specto..

:rotfl2: There was a tornado???? I remember one day we were in MK and it was blowing like mad but I didn't know there was a tornado! :lmao:

Ok, off topic, but does anyone watch Rock of Love on VH1? You know the show where 80s rock star Bret Michaels from Poison is trying to find his true love?

Well, I have a question. Does he have hair extensions??? :lmao:
I don't think he does... but that's a good question lol... I don't know about u but I sure hope he has the sense to pick amber.... Daisy is uhhhh ... well... .... anywayz ;)

My Monday morning has not started with a bang. It started with a fizzle! The morning has started with a voicemail from my exbf who was clearly drunk dialing. :scared1: More on that later...

I have a dentist appointment after school today. I was hoping to hit a new bookstore and find more WDW guidebooks, but this appointment has blocked my Disney plans. Or so I thought...

Once I cleared my head of drunk dialing and the dentist, I rememberd that the dentist's office is a few blocks away from the World of Disney store. Guess where I'm going after the dentist? :woohoo:

I'll take some photos of my purchases this evening.

Oh and as some of you know, I sent a text after my surgery requesting that my trainer work out with me shirtless. I planned on taking a photo of him. Well, after going back and forth with text messages this week and a phone call this weekend. My trainer has some ideas and some stipulations. But you'll have to wait until tonight for that update!

Has anyone been to the Brown Derby? If so, what do you recommend from their menu?
Ohhh.... Drunk dialing... how fun .... not...

I wanna see pic of said trainer ;)hehe

I wish!

OURlast day is the 27th of June!

Jen I am so jealous that you live so close to WOD! Je-ll-o! Come on back to us...we can't stand the cliff hanger anymore!

Living close to WOD is dangerous for me. I always manage to buy something.

We have 10 more weeks.

:surfweb:

10 weeks left of school isn't that bad. When does school reopen for you?

If my students will just behave, it will be a breeze! Of course, this is middle school :lmao: . A girl can still dream, though, right?

It makes me sad, but FD dates are obviously not decided with teachers in mind. :(

I would love to try the grapefruit cake, but my family keeps nixing the menu...

Maybe Disney should have a teacher's free dining promo :confused3

Jen,,here is the Brown Derby review I mentioned earlier..

Thanks!!!

Oh, no! How did you do that? Look at page 246 -- it's a list of children's programs and activities! :thumbsup2

Hope your knee feels better soon!

Oh what happend? Rushing too fast to WOD after your dentist Appt? :lmao:
Sorry...:flower3: :lmao:

I discovered LIVE365 radio...they play Disney World music!! Its awsome!! right now I`m at Spectromagic, before that I was watching Illuminations, and I rode Splash Mountain,,,its soo much fun to listen too!

Yeah, Jen-keepin' that cliff hanger of the trainer! I see how it goes....

Yes,I listen to it all day at school...but I have since moved to straight mouseworldradio, that's the BEST! It looks like I am editing podcasts for teachers, while I am listening to the dis (I have headphones on...and everyone else has no idea!):rotfl:

oh no! I hope it's not bad and that you feel better soon.

Keep icing it and keep it elevated!

Spoken like a PT...:)

Get better NYer...

Thanks everyone :grouphug:

I slipped in the shower and fell on my right knee. While if this had been my left knee, it wouldn't have made much of a difference. But I injured my right knee awhile ago and it always gives me some problems. Working out has strengthened my knee. I have a huge bruise and a little bit of swelling. The ice worked :thumbsup2 Next time, I won't rush so much to shower and get ready :rotfl2:

Update coming today.

I don't think he does... but that's a good question lol... I don't know about u but I sure hope he has the sense to pick amber.... Daisy is uhhhh ... well... .... anywayz ;)

I wanna see pic of said trainer ;)hehe

I wish he'd ditch the bandana.
I hope he picks Ambre also. Daisy is interesting though.

:lmao: The aftermath of drunk dialing is usually never fun.

Trainer story coming today. As well as World of Disney :)

123 days to go!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cool1: :cool1: :cheer2: :cheer2:

After the dentist yesterday, I headed over to World of Disney. I looked around and started shopping. For some reason, whenever I go into that store I end up buying something. They have such cute stuff. You can buy a lot of it at WDW or DL, but some of it is just for the NY store. I love going there to replace my Mickey pens. I have to take some photos of my purchases tonight.

Trainer Update:

A little background first. My training includes cardio and strength training. We use kettle bells, free weights, weight machines, cardio machines, etc. But my training also includes boxing. I am NOT a boxer, nor do I want to be one. I have never actually hit a person. My trainer puts on the mitts and teaches me how to box. It's a great workout.

My trainer got the text about him working out shirtless so I can take a pic. He thought it was funny, but I assured him that it was not a joke. Well, that's when my negotiating side took over.

First, he said that if I work out shirtless he would too :scared1: Since I don't want to scare anyone at the gym, I passed on this offer. After much back and forth, we came to an agreement. When I'm able to do 50 push ups and 100 crunches in a row, he'll work out shirtless. Right now, I can do about 30 push ups without stopping or crying. The crunches are no problemo :thumbsup2

So the way I figure it, Mr. Hot Trainer will be shirtless within a month.

Restaurant Suggestions:

I've been looking over my ADRs again and again. While I like my choices, I'm wondering if there are restaurants in WDW that are great and I'm missing them. So a couple of questions for you!

What are your favorite Disney restaurants? What did you like about them?

Good incentive from your trainer! Just 20 more push-ups to go! I assure you, we are all rooting for you! :rotfl2:

Our favorites so far are Boma (their dessert choices are wonderful) and Kona Cafe -- we are hoping to try Jiko at some point (maybe, for our October anniversary trip).

Thanks! I'm going to start training like Rocky :rotfl:

I've read lots of good things about Boma. An ADR there will give me an excuse to check out AKL.

I'd like to try Jiko, but probably during an adult's only trip.

I hear the music now!

AKL is beautiful! I can't wait to be back there for dinner at Boma!

I'd like to try Jiko, but probably during an adult's only trip.

That's what Charles and I are thinking since dinner takes about two hours with all the courses -- I don't see my two sitting still for that long -- they are well-mannered, but I think that would stretch their limits!

My FAVORITE restaurant in all of Epcot is Chefs de France.:cool1: A seat by the window makes it fun to "people watch", too. I just LOVE it and it is on the list everytime we go. DD loves Rose & Crown (I'm not fond of it, but that's HER top choice) and DH goes anywhere and eats anything. He's such a gem. :lovestruc

Have you tried 50's PT Cafe? I'll bet "T" would get the giggles in there! :goodvibes (and the food was pretty good. lol I just expected "atmosphere", so I was pleasantly surprised!)

Keep us posted. We are all rooting for you to get up to 50 push ups!!

I didn't know Jiko takes two hours. I guess I'll have to build that into our time budget. We have ADRs there.
