*Chocolate and Pixie Dust* - An August 2008 TR- 8/29 pg 6: Sort of an update

Beer at the Honda is 7-12 dollars.

Hot Dogs 4.75
Soda 4.50

Burritos 8.00..

Not cheap.....but apparently cheaper than NY.

Not much cheaper. Beer at Yankee Stadium is $8.50. I was tempted to go into the Johnny Walker bar, but I thought it would be a bad idea to leave my nephew alone in the stadium before the rest of my family got there.

No burritos in NYC arenas. The closest thing we get to a Mexican dish is nachos.

Those prices at Yankee Stadium...:scared1:

Never thought I would feel like I am getting a good deal at Disney on food, but now I do!

I am MIA watching Lost episodes online for a couple of hours, and I come back to have my view of Disney prices completely changed! :lmao: Mind-boggling!

Ok, off topic, but does anyone watch Rock of Love on VH1? You know the show where 80s rock star Bret Michaels from Poison is trying to find his true love?
Well, I have a question. Does he have hair extensions??? :lmao:
he might. we were laughing when he took off his bandana.

I'll accept it, but come on...they STUNK all those years...through the 80's and 90's The curse didn't end until 2002! (I think) I had to like the game and the B in order to like the team...They were horrible! At least I don't hate the yankees...does that make you feel better? How could you hate a team that has Jeter on it?
But I do love the Mets! :)
Okay, back to my NativeNYer friend...about golf... I want to learn. My friends and I are going to play in a foursome at an outing on the 6th of may. We dont even own clubs...we're going to throw the ball...:rotfl2: (we stink!) I :worship: to you that you're taking lessons..
ok. I don't like the Mets.

Well, I will say this...everything LOOKS bigger in Texas. (Don't ask!) haha
I know I did when I was in Austin in 2005 for a wedding. :rotfl2:

Did you ever think Disney prices would actually seem reasonable? :lmao:

You don't see Bret Michaels take that bandana off too often. It was a rare sighting :rotfl:

I think he has hair extensions or a wig. But then again, apparently Daisy has hair extensions too. Maybe she should win Rock of Love so they can get their hair done together :confused3

My Monday morning has not started with a bang. It started with a fizzle! The morning has started with a voicemail from my exbf who was clearly drunk dialing. :scared1: More on that later...

I have a dentist appointment after school today. I was hoping to hit a new bookstore and find more WDW guidebooks, but this appointment has blocked my Disney plans. Or so I thought...

Once I cleared my head of drunk dialing and the dentist, I rememberd that the dentist's office is a few blocks away from the World of Disney store. Guess where I'm going after the dentist? :woohoo:

I'll take some photos of my purchases this evening.

Oh and as some of you know, I sent a text after my surgery requesting that my trainer work out with me shirtless. I planned on taking a photo of him. Well, after going back and forth with text messages this week and a phone call this weekend. My trainer has some ideas and some stipulations. But you'll have to wait until tonight for that update!

Has anyone been to the Brown Derby? If so, what do you recommend from their menu?

Some people's closets are bigger. It's so frustrating!

That's life in the "Tri-State Area", huh? Our first house was as small as a doll house, and for the same price, we could have gotten a 4BR Colonial BRAND NEW in Michigan. (but I didn't WANT to live in Michigan.... lol)

Golf...almost tried that.... I have a brand new pair of Foot Joy golf shoes in their box that I've had for over 5 years now. Very cute shoes...just not my game...do you think I could wear them for mini golf in Disney??

My wedding present from my DH were golf clubs! I am "petite" and had to get a children's set. lol We played on our honeymoon in Bermuda... I can't remember the few times since I've actually used them! Now that I'm "retired", I should pull them out... :goodvibes

We went 11 years ago and hated it. Except for dessert - grapefruit cake is AWESOME. :woohoo: I was so disappointed, because it was one of the places I was SO looking forward to... it was expensive, crowded, the server was rude, and the food lousy. But.. again, that was 11 years ago... let's hope for SOME improvement in all that time! :confused3

Real Estate in the tri-area is ridiculous. I'm going to look at a 3 bedroom condo this week and it's $600,000. I would have an estate someplace else.

I hope we have a better experience withthe Brown Derby. I do want to try the grapefruit cake :)

Wow! Sounds like when we had a flu outbreak near Christmas -- there was one day when I was missing half of my students!

:scared1: Half of your students missing? WOW!

Well, here's to a quiet Monday at both of our schools. Hopefully, it'll go by fast. I have two more weeks until spring break :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Yes, here's to peace and quiet!

I have 35 more school days until we are out!

Until you're out for summer? WOW!

When does school start again for you? We start the Tuesday after Labor Day.

We won't be done until June 20th at noon to be exact :rotfl2: But who's counting :rolleyes1

Yeah, until school is out! 7 more weeks! :woohoo:

We go back mid-August though so no free dining visits. :(

Out of all the places we ate in WDW in December the Brown Derby was our favorite. The Grapefruit Cake is AWESOME :thumbsup2 ! I also loved the Salmon!
