*Chocolate and Pixie Dust* - An August 2008 TR- 8/29 pg 6: Sort of an update

I really prefer a messenger type bag. Back[ack types hurt my back unless it's a real camping like backpack that has the extra support for my back. Some people swear by fanny packs but you couldn't pay me to wear one. Those and the mullet are the two biggest fashion don'ts. :rotfl2:

:lmao: So you mean if I cut my hair into a mullet and wore a fanny pack I'd look ridiculous? :rotfl2:

Business in the front, party in the back!!!!

Good morning DISers :wave2:

I'm getting ready to look at a couple of apartments this morning. I'm excited and really hope I like them. If I'm able to, I'll take pics and post them later.

Trip planing and the DIS become so addictive.

But I love that there is a community of people that share my obsession :grouphug:

It definitely makes planning so much more fun when people share my enthusiasm!

Good luck! I hope you find the perfect apartment!

I agree! I'm having so much fun and getting so many great ideas from everyone here.

Thanks!! I hope so too. I'll post an update this afternoon.

I think I'm going to add the Shrine into our trip.

:lmao: A man definitely invented the "fanny pack" It adds to the size of your fanny :rotfl:

I can't even stand myself when I'm PMSing. Your husband is a saint!
Great - you'll have to let me know what you think of the Shrine. I'll try to post a picture or two later..
Yes, my DH IS a Saint!

I need a Lapu Lapu :lmao:
That's why I added Kona to our reservations this June! Can't wait!! :yay:

It's Friday night in April. That's enough of an excuse for me :lmao:

I had a Mai Tai at dinner tonight, because I was missing our trip to Ft Lauderdale! ;)

State tests are horrible!
My DD is a TERRIBLE standardized test taker. Yet she's an A/B student. She can give an AWESOME presentation about anything... I think that's a better "life skill". lol :goodvibes

:worship: :worship:

6th graders is a tough age. I avoid teaching kids while they're going through puberty. It scares me.

I'm actually interviewing assistant teachers next week. If you want a job in NYC with benefits and free tuition for you and your family, consider relocated :lmao: Want to work with kindergartners?

I was a school librarian Pk to Grade 8 - I LOVED the little ones. Also taught Music for K and 1. I do not enjoy the older grades! I have no patience for "EYE ROLLING".

Good morning DISers :wave2:

Good luck apartment hunting!! :yay:

I want an iPhone too! But I just got my phone (BlackJack) last June (I got it the day before the iPhone came out, so I wouldn't buy it until the price went down.

I work with 6th graders. I'm not a teacher though. I'm an assistant teacher.
Anyone who works with children in an educational way is a teacher...nevermind their titles. :grouphug: (this coming from someone who was one, and who loved her TA when she had them)

:lmao: So you mean if I cut my hair into a mullet and wore a fanny pack I'd look ridiculous? :rotfl2:

Yes, but that's hysterical to think of..:rotfl2:

Bags for Disney. I'm on a mission to find the perfect bag.

People get quite passionate about their favorites, tread lightly. ;)

Holy cannoli I forgot about the black socks and sandals fashion faux pas :lmao:

I agree. A teacher is a teacher. I never refer to my assistant teacher as an assistant. We're both kindergarten teachers.

I need to find a picture of a mullet. That will be my new avatar :lmao:

Thanks!

Good luck! I`m sure Scott and Biff have an apt they can sell you! :lmao:

Thanks! I should look for apartments with them :rotfl2:
