I think just keep watching!! Did you set up "watch thread" for November Cancellations? I am sure there will be something cancelled, but might not be for your needed dates.

I just got two tickets for Merry & Bright Dessert Party at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Has anyone been to this event. It was expensive! I am trying to figure out if I want to keep it.

I was wondering about this one too. I have seen it available. My family is doing Wishes Dessert Party for the first time this trip. I like trying new things each trip.

I'm still searching daily for a few ADR's - but I'm wondering if things will show up last minute, I just randomly looked for breakfasts for tomorrow and there are tons of choices, like BOG, Ohana, Crystal Palace... I'm not going for a few weeks, but curious what will show up at the last minute...

I've seen lots of stuff open last minute. I would keep checking, especially 24-48 hours out. Good luck!

Sorry, but I hope they stick with a 9AM opening on the 15th. I finally got the 8AM BOG ADR that I've been trying for months for and changing opening time to 8 would put a big kink in my touring plan for the day. Plus, if they change opening to 8AM I will be majorly worried about crowd levels.

congrats to everyone who has found the reservations they've been hunting for! we're about 10 days out from our trip--still hunting for an earlier beaches and cream lunch for one day. fingers crossed! otherwise it
might be an afternoon ice cream rather than a full meal.

I promise, promise, promise things open up, especially when you're there.

Also, they just changed policies that you have to have the person with the credit card on the reservation there (especially when checking in) AND some reservations, (wishes specifically but they said others too) were (I think) 8 days for cancellations!

Probably to prevent adrs from being sold.

Does it say if you have to have the credit card with you? I hadn't planned on taking my card to the parks but I will if I have to show it.

Was anyone able to book a Wishes Dessert Party on a MVMCP night prior to yesterday? There is a thread on the Restaurants board going where it is speculated this could be a glitch. It sounds like it has happened before and the reservations were cancelled by Disney. I sure hope it's not a glitch! I have a 9:30 BOG breakfast and a Peter Pan's Flight FP for 9:10-10:10. Not sure about my timing. If we get to Peter Pan's right at start of fast pass time what are the chances we will ride right at 9:10 and will be make it to BOG at 9:30am. Or if we go to BOG at reservation time will we be seated right away and be out in time to get to Peter Pan on time? If we get to BOG a little early will they seat us early?

Thanks for sharing this - I'm going to read that thread. My credit card still has the charge as pending, but it isn't showing a dollar amount, which is weird. It's showing on MDE as paid though.

The only reason I am hesitant to believe it's a glitch is because the system is still showing times as available. If it were a glitch and Disney was aware of it, don't you think they'd at least stop more people from booking?

Do dropped ADRs show back up in the system right away or do they take some time to be updated in the system? I tried coordinating a pick up for BOG once and then dropping it for other people twice and it never worked. I wonder if Disney overbooks popular restaurants and so when cancellations are made they don't go back into the system? When I was trying to pick up the dropped BOG, I checked for 60 minutes and it never appeared.

I feel bad for the people trying to get the ones I cancel and we both plan on being online at the same time and then it doesn't work!

I have had success with BOG by being on the exact BOG page. Not the typical dining search page. i also put in the closest time available to what was being dropped, and have had a 100% success rate. This includes a total of 4 "transactions" of dropping and picking up new ressies. Are you doing this?

I'm not sure what the 2 folks did when I was cancelling, but we agreed on a time for them to PM me to let me know they were logged into the system. Once they PM'd me that they were on, I PM'd them back to let them know I saw their message and was logging on and cancelling right then. Then I'd send another PM letting them know I cancelled. And both times they said they didn't get the ADR.

When I tried to pick one up I was logged on and on the BOG page. I did the same thing as you and had the closest time to the reservation and just kept hitting "find a table" and it never showed up. In that case the person told me the exact time they were cancelling and I started hitting "find a table" about 3 minutes before that time and then for another 45 minutes.

I feel like people think I'm lying to them that I'm cancelling a reservation LOL!!! But I really am!

Mine are always for parties of 2...maybe they hold off on releasing smaller tables for more cancellations so they can then release more party of 4+'s?? Of course it's all guessing!

Perhaps. Maybe it is all random. LOL!! I also have noticed that it didnt pop right away when it was cancelled. I had to click find table for about 5 minutes, but it would eventually show up. Sorry this isn't working for everyone

ugh, this is the absolute worst feeling. I've coordinated a good number of ADRs (both dropping and picking up) for this and previous trips, and I've encountered this problem probably half a dozen times. it totally sucks, and I really don't know why it happens. probably a combination of overbooking and glitches in the system, but that's totally just a guess. my parties have always been on the small side (2 or 3) and sometimes coordinating works while sometimes it doesn't.

You will be fine getting to BOG if you get in line by 9:10. The ride is short and the FP line will move fast especially that early. Not sure if BOG would sit you early but it's possible. Personally, I wouldn't waste prime touring hour with a meal but to each their own.

So I thought I was done with my super-stalking of ADRs, but I decided to do the Christmas party and now I really want to switch my BOG dinner to that night before the party! Ugh...back to stalking

There were a few reservations I was still watching for hoping to tweak my times but I wasn't in the full obsessed mode...but, now I'm back and have a little over two weeks to make this happen! Wish me luck and pixie dust!!

Thank you! It is a morning with EMH so park opens at 8am. I originally booked an 8:20 reservation for Be Our Guest but now managed to get 9:30am also. I thought to maybe not waste the EMH by eating and take advantage of that. So now I'm deciding which would be better 8:20 or 9:30. Which would you recommend? This is our first visit.
