Chit Chat Thread - November ADRs...

Hopefully you kept going back and checking! A lot of us have had this experience where there was an error during booking and then we kept going back and checking the site and the ADR would show back up - check for an hour.

It seems of there is truly and error (and not someone else getting it), then it takes awhile to get released back into the system.

Huh, this is interesting! Couldn't it be showing less availability just because there are less total fastpasses available because they're both party nights? Rather than indicating higher crowds? Perhaps it's just wishful thinking on my part - we'll be in MK on the 17th!

I think it's also because people going to just the party nights are also taking the late afternoon FP+ so there's less availability overall. Another wishful thinking on my part that that's the reason why.

I'm so so so happy! I rearranged a few of my ADRs because I couldn't justify going to Ohana so late in the night and kept an eye open for November 1st for a time period after I'm done with IoA. I've been checking everyday for a few weeks and was losing hope but found it today during my usually lunch (dinner, really) break from work. So now I can try Ohana and eat lunch at Whispering Canyon as a midday break! My ADRs are now perfect for our 11 day trip!

Is there any "grace period" for being late for an ADR? I just realized that we have a A&E FP at 1:10 and a BOG lunch at 1:35... EEK! Did not mean for them to be so close. Do I need to cancel my BOG and look for another time?

Personally, since they are both so hard to get, I would keep both and make sure I scan magic bands at A&E at the first moment allowed. You may or may not get out by 1:35, but when we had a FP for it, it seemed to go quick, waiting included. BOG isn't far away. That's just my opinion. I don't know if they'd take you more than 15 minutes late though.

I would keep both too. Be at the A&E and scan it right at 1:10pm then rush over to BOG after. I have read about a 15 minute grace period for ADRs but they're not guaranteed.

Sorry but I have a tech ?: I've been getting some great ressies from the ADR threads and I'm following but only getting notified for some of the posts. Am I doing something wrong or have a phone setting to change? I get emails but miss lots of posts!

When you get an email do you go back to view the post in the thread? You'll only get one email notifying you of a new post until you go back to the thread itself. So if you check the thread and then leave the Dis, the next time someone posts you will get an email saying there is a new post. Until you go back to the thread you won't get another notification. So there could be 10 more new posts you won't know about because you only get an alert for the first new post after you left.

That's why they don't like chit chat on the cancellation thread. Because every time someone posts and you get an email notification you have to go back to the thread so that you keep getting notifications. If people chit chat you have to keep going back so you don't miss an actual cancellation you want.

it only notifies you of new posts until you go and check the thread. so, go to the thread each time you get a new email. i read that on here. i'm sure someone on here can explain it much better.

anyone have an opinion on Garden Grove? it seems to be the only dinner ADR i can secure for a certain day of our trip. i am worried about the atmosphere and characters more than the food. the twins are two. so a "quiet" place will not really work for us. lol!

Garden grill is the only adr my kids wanted to repeat. The food is really good and the character interaction is awesome. They will love chip and dale and it's certainly a family friendly spot!

Your family enjoyed? How old is your crowd? My kids love Chip and Dale. But my college bff who's a Disney a fanatic said pass.

We are a group of 19. We are there 14th-19th/22nd.

You must have a really hard time finding ADRs... We're a party of 5 and I'm having a difficult time.. I can't imagine trying to get ADRs for a party of 19.
