Several years ago I did book keeping for a locksmith company. We had a contract with Chipotle to do any work they needed for restaurants in our area. Believe it or not some of the managers didn't pronounce it correctly. They pronounced it the first way you said. Sad isn't it?

The one that gets me is SWAROVSKI. I've heard fine jewelry dealers call it "sah-vor-ski" and even "swa-ver-ski".

it is SWAR-OV-SKI". Exactly as spelled.

It's sort of a cross between Chick-Fil-A and Chipotle.

Anyone remember the Jack in the Box commercials when they had something on their menu with chipotle pepper in it.

Jack couldn't say it right, and was rattling off different ways to say it.

One was Chip-uh-tawb-lay.

That's how we say it in our family to this day. That, or Chipoodle.
