Chipboard Album advice needed

I'm looking to make an autograph book for an upcoming trip -- how many pages of chipboard to you think I can use before the album becomes too bulky? I'm thinking of using 3 rings to bind the pages together. And, I'll want to be able to add pages upon returning from the trip to add pictures with the characters.

Or, is there a better way to do this? I want to have something sturdy enough for the characters to be able to write on without a "table", but I want it to be as hassle-free as possible.

It depends on how big your rings are. They sell pretty big ones at Staples.

I actually use a mini clipboard for autographs.
