I heard that the Fort Wilderness Lodge has a free movie and campfire for guests. Does anyone know where I can find out what days and times this all starts? Is there a way I can find out what movies are going to play?pirate:

Seems you are a bit confused, the movies and camp fire roast are at Fort Wilderness, the campground. you're confusing Wilderness Lodge, the deluxe resort with the Fort Wilderness Campground. Others will clue you in to the movie and campfire activities held at FW. hope this helps..........

Welcome to the Disboards... The other poster is correct. The campfire is at Fort Wilderness Campground, not to be confused with the Wilderness Lodge. The Campfire Program starts every evening at 7pm in the Winter and 8pm in the Summer. It starts with a sing-along around a big campfire with a visit from Chip & Dale. This is followed by a full-length Disney movie on the outdoor screen. There is event is open to everyone... there is no fee to participate but there are some snacks and drinks available for a fee while you are there (if you want them).

The movie schedule itself is posted for an entire month and usually goes up about a week or two before the first of the month. You can head over to the Camping board here on the Dis for that information (it is in this same section on the main page "Trip Planning" about two forums before it switches to Dis UK), they always have the latest movie schedule sticky noted to be one of the top threads. Here is a link to the July movies just so you can see what they usually have to offer. http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1493857

I need to remember to add this to my notes for our trip. Not sure we'll get a chance, but if we have some free time, we may enjoy it. And it'll be a good excuse to go take a look at Fort Wilderness.

There's a petting area there also, plus the horses that work in the MK are stabled there too. Stop in at Trails End and Crocketts Tavern, best pizza and buffet for a bargain price, American home style cuisine, hay rides too. Don't miss the EWP from the FW beach in the evening.

We most always stay at WL just to be able to boat to FW for the food and quiet setting. Settlement Trading Post has an array of stuff from camping groceries to souveniors. Pioneer Hall is located there too, home of the Hoop Dee Do Revue, great dinner show.
