Chip n Dale Sing a Long

I will be staying at WL and thought it would be fun to take a boat over to FW for the campfire singalong. My questions are:

1. once I get off the boat at FW, do I need to take an internal bus to the campfire or should we walk?

2. I understand the campfire starts around 730pm in Aug. Can you tell me what time the Chuckwagon opens for eats?

We stayed at WL in April and took the boat to FW for the Chip and Dale sing-a-long and yes an internal bus would be the way to go after you get off the boat. It was a short walk past the pool once you get off the internal bus to where the sing-a-long takes place. My DD7 enjoyed the marshmallows and the sing-a-long but we left after Chip and Dale took off and before the movie began.

It is a fairly short walk (less than 1/2 mile).

The best directions I can give you are as follows:

Walk from the marina towards Pioneer Hall. (It will be on your right). Across from Pioneer Hall is golf cart parking. Walk through the golf cart parking and down the golf cart path till you come to a stop sign and the road. Directly across the crosswalk, there will be two sidewalks. Take the sidewalk toward the right. Follow that sidewalk, and the Meadows Trading Post/Pool, and Movie will be on your left. There will be signs and a path.

If you want to take the bus, then walk from the marina past Pioneer Hall, continue on past the mostly empty Petting Zoo, and the bus stop will be beyond that. Take the Orange or Yellow Outpost Bus. If you take the Orange Bus, get off at the Meadows Bus Stop. If you take the Yellow Bus, get off at Loop 1500. DO NOT take the Purple Bus.

Thanks so much the info. I didn't realize the boat will stop first at Contemporary on the way back so I will allot time for that as well!

The we did marshmellows, the sing along and the movie last August and I got eaten alive. Made for a very itchy rest of the trip.

From the WL the best(not really the most scenic but...)way to get to the movie is simply to get on the FW bus at the lodge, that bus will take you to the movies(the second stop I think, just after Settlement). To get home again, walk back to the same stop you got off at and wait for the Orange Settlement bus, after it stops a Settlement it goes out to WL.

Thanks everyone! Eaten alive I will remember the bug spray for sure. I thought of riding bikes over there but my understanding is the bikes must be checked back in my 7pm or so, anyone know for sure?

Not sure about the turn in time, but the bike/walk path is not lit, so that wouldn't work anyway.
