Chip & Dale -Who is Who?

Last month i actually ask of them who is who Like others stated chip has the chocolate nose. He pointed to his nose to let me know.

Years ago (just MK and Epcot parks at WDW at that time),
we were at our very first Character Breakfast (Minnie's Menehune Breakfast at the Poly) and Chip 'n Dale were there.

They were each visiting the tables separately from the other (and causing lots of trouble ).

This was my very first "private" character interaction and I said something like, "Are you Chip or Dale?"

The chipmunk instantly held up two fingers, (meaning the second name I'd said, or "Dale.")

It was then I realized just how much the "mute" characters can convey with only sign language and body language.

They are really amazing to "talk to."

To this day, we always make sure to schedule at least one Character Meal every trip.

I like the Chocolate Chip reference. Good way to remember.

For me it was D Brown (a former NBA basketball player that played for the Celtics)
and Clint Black (after the country singer) C for Chip and he has the black nose, D for Dale and he has the Brown nose.

We also do a character meal each trip. Only one the last trip as it was just DW and I and we were only there for 3 nights. Trip before that we did 5 character meals. Chef Mickey's is our favorite for the character interaction. Followed closely by Crystal Palace.

I remember who's who by:
Chip is the one with the black nose and no hair on his head
Dale is the one with the red nose and a little bit of hair on his head! Also I think of Dale as a girls name...so therefor the red nose!

Last year my husband got in a mock punching match when he called Chip Dale by mistake. My DS loved it but DD was so afraid Chip was angry with her Daddy!

DW and I found out about the chocolate chip connotation during a dinner at LTT. Chip came around to our table (it was just the two of us) and Chip came over. We didn't know which was which and she asked. A little girl (maybe 4 yo) had wandered over from her table and piped up in true Art Linkletter form 'Chip has a nose like a chocolate chip!!!', pointing to her own nose. Chip then turned to the little girl, pointed at her and patted her on the head. DW thought that was SO cute so anytime we are at the World, see the two of them (Chip and Dale, not Chip and the little girl ) I ask DW which one is Chip and she points to her nose and says 'the one with the chocolate chip nose'.

Chip & Dale rule in our house... no princesses for my DD9.

This was Saturday at Garden Grill. I have to say no matter where we see them parks or character meals (we've seen them at Chef Mickey, Beach Club, LTT& Garden Grill) they are always so much fun to interact with. They always tell my DD they love her by thumping their hand over their heart!

they aren't squirrels they're chipmunks (there is so totally a difference
they are twins- but not identical, there is no difference in their stripes (atleast at the parks) just the nose, eyebrows and teeth (and dale usually acts more stupid then chip)

My little brother, he acts more stupid than both of them hedge hogs put together, and he can't tell em apart neither.
