I gather this is in use in the US. Are you still able to pay by CC and sign in the 'old fashioned' way! Phoned up for a reminder of DH PIN today and it said it will come in 7-10 days. We leave on Saturday! I know my PIN but don't want my CC to be in meltdown, I'd rather use his!!

Hi

There shouldn't be a problem as the change from swipe to chip and Pin is being phased over a few years. Visa and Mastercard are worldwide schemes, so there will be a need to keep the 'swipe' facility until all countries have moved to the Chip & Pin system.

Happy spending!!:D

Hi
just back yesterday and wanted to say we had Nationwide chip&pin cards but NEVER did we use pin number. every shop, restaurant , petrol station & supermarket including all the parks(disney & US/IOA) made us sign the visa receipt as usual. I was only asked once for ID at Nike shop in Belz.

yes we did survive the hurricane!!!! thought the doors in villa were going to blow in but they didn't!!!!!Phew!
