{The cast: Party of two thirty-something semi-adults! We've been married 14 years and have a 13 year old daughter (time flies!) who was at a slumber party that night! Oh, and I'm currently preggers with #2...nothing like spacing our children!}

We found ourselves enjoying Epcot's World Showcase last Saturday night, suddenly hungry, with no PS arrangements. Chinese sounded good to both of us, but having read the mixed (and often not-so-good) reviews of Nine Dragons, we hesitated to enter. Encouraged by the restaurant's immediate seating availability (and the fact that we were standing right there!:p ), we decided to throw caution to the wind and take a gamble! We have no regrets.

The resaurant offered a quiet respite from the busy park. It is dark and cool and staffed with very friendly hosts. We were seated at a table for two where we observed passersby and, later, the parade. Our waiter, Sun Wei, approached our table almost immediately and proved to be an effecient and enthusiastic CM throughout our meal.

We began our meal with the sampler appetizer, which included chinese dumplings and spring rolls. The portions were small, but tasty. We continued with wonton soup, which was also good.

For our main course, we shared the honey sesame chicken and the shrimp and veggie stir-fry. The helpings were plentiful and served with white rice ( I didn't ask, but would have preferred brown); we did not finish either, but enjoyed both.

For dessert, we each had a scoop of red-bean ice cream (tastes like vanilla, really!) and my husband had jasmine tea. The bill totaled $40.20 after our DDE discount was applied.

Our final impression is that while the food offered nothing really special, it was appetizing and enjoyable. The atmosphere was nice and the service was very good. I would rate the experience above my local take-out Chinese, but less than PF Changs. In my book, it doesn't earn rave reviews, but it offered enough that I will return.

Reviews on this restaurant have improved during the past year. Thanks for the report, glad it worked out so well for you.:D

Now I am hungry for PF Changs! :)

Thanks for the review! I'll have to give it a try.

Thanks for the great review! That is one I'm always curious about but have been afraid to eat there since I hated the meal I had at the Lotus Blossom Cafe.
