Chilly's Golden Triangle Roadtrip (with not a lot of road) Day 4 - The Wedding

Tuesday 28th March

Today we just breakfast with the girls as the boys who are best men are with the groom. We return to the same place as yesterday. Service was really slow but we were in no rush. I take the girls to the water massage place and we all get one except DH who wanders round the mall and my friends also try the oxygen bar. I look at some straightners and the salesman shows me how they work with a demo on my hair, he is very angry when I don't buy any. The girls hit the shops and DH and I go and explore the 3 new hotels that have been built in whats now called the city centre. They are very expensive to stay at but look lovely and modern. There is also a mini mall that we explore. Outside one hotel they have a fountain which I try to get a photo of but the doorman tells me off for standing in the road, I ignore him till i've got my photo, I say to DH don't build something people are going to want to photo then say you can't stand there. We check out the Bellagio hotel before returning to our room.

Back in the room it was time to get ready for the wedding.

We got ready for the wedding, I made use of the make up shop in the mall and they made up my eyes for me for free. We pick the girls up and then walk over to the Bellagio to meet the rest of the guests in the bar. On the way to the wedding the groom stops to place a bet saying if it comes up black the weddings off, it comes up black, he says don't tell the bride! The wedding itself is help on a terrace outside overlooking the fountains, its a beautiful spot and a lovely wedding. When it comes to the bouquet toss there aren't many single girls so we all line up and I caught it! I didn't try to but as it landed on my shoulder there wasn't much I could do about it, I guess that means I get to have a VR. We head back to the bar for a drink, I get a bellini, until its time to get the minibus to the reception. The minibus is nowhere to be found though, we are just about to get into taxis when its located which means we do arrive a bit late and the first bit is slightly rushed but nevermind. The reception is at an Italian restaurant in a private room, the food is great and the cocktails even better, Lemon Drops go down a treat. Before the dessert is an Elvis singer who is really good. The two Mums have a bit of a dance off which is great fun. The groom's speech goes on a bit and off course a few times but it gives us plenty of ammo to mock him. We are given cake to take home with us and we grab a taxi back to the hotel, there is talk of going on somewhere but DH has caught a cold so is not feeling too good so we hit the sack.
