Has anyone used the as seen on TV chilly towels?? Considering them for our trip in 2 weeks... We get grumpy when hot!!! Lol

Subbing! I just ordered one to "test run" this summer! If we'll order more before our trip! Would love to hear from disers!

I just saw these at Home Depot or something similar.
Years ago I made for a fundraiser some neck wraps that have water absorbing crystals in them. They worked great and I know there was a group making them and sending them to the military.

Now you have me curious to try these. When I went to Disney last November I was having a difficulty with a red rash on my legs. I read on here and other places that it's called "Golfers rash" and sometimes "Disney rash".
I bet these towels will be helpful on my legs at night if I get this rash again.

Thanks for posting.

We used Frogg Togg cooling towels in August. (Same thing different brand.) They were great. We actually bought 3 for our family of 5, just cut them in half long ways. They really did keep us cool and it was convenient to just re-wet them in the nearest restroom sink.

so they remain cool even with regular water and not cold water. That was one of my concerns

Frog towels=awesome! Used them two years ago at Disney. Taking them again for my trip to Disney tomorrow. Doesn't have to be cold water. Sometimes I would even pour water from my water bottle just to wet it! Worth the money. We got the big ones, but they were a little too big. Cutting them is actually a really great idea. Got mine at Bed Bath and Beyond.

I picked up a towel at the dollar store but haven't used it yet.

I also get a red rash on the bottom on my legs. I didn't know it was given a name. I find if I put sunscreen on my legs that seems to help

Common in golfers. Something like Golfers vasculitus.

Dollar store has the towels? Hmmm I'll have to watch for them. My son works at a local Dollar Tree store. I know they had the neck wrap with the beads not that long ago.

I got it in November but not February so I don't know what was different cause the week I went was pretty warm. In fact I wore shorts. I think my pace was different cause it was a solo trip. So I rested when I wanted to.
Definitely going to get a towel just in case.

I just bought the frogg towels today. We leave Sunday so I will post how they are. As far as cutting them did it ruin the "material" that makes it cold??

I bought these cooling towels at 5 Below in the exercise equipment section. At $5 each they were a bargain!

Frog Togs (chilly towels) are AWESOME. You can get them at Sports Authority for around $12. DEFINITELY worth it.

I actually found some at the $ Store the other day, too. Plan to try one out asap. Was 90 the day I bought them, now it's been mid 70's since then lol! Going to try it on my walk as soon as temp goes back up. If it works, great! If not, definitely going to get the Frogg Togg ones. Saw them in Bed, Bath and Beyond for $12.99 so I'll just go back 4x with a coupon :thumbsup2

I bought them from Amazon last week and am eager to try them on our trip next month. I also bought a product called the Quick Chill Cool Off towelettes. They are like Wet Ones, but are produced using ingredients like witch hazel, aloe vera and chamomile and the chill lasts for a long time. You apply it to the skin and press for a few seconds to build the chill. I had occasion to try them the other day when the a/c went out in our office. They worked pretty well. Disney in July will be the ultimate test. ;)

A friend of mine is FHP FL State Trooper He was the first to tell me about Frogg Togg chilly pads You would be surprised how many WDW Security CMs are wearing these discreetly under their shirts too Don't buy a knockoff version They're reasonable enough Worth its weight in gold really

Yes cut them lengthwise and you have enough for 2 adults ( or more for smaller kids ) Follow directions for storing cleaning and it will last for years I wear it outside all the time for most of the year here

We used the Frogg Toggs last time. At night rinse them out and put it folded in a Ziploc and put in the fridge. Then put in your backpack and it's nice and cold when you're ready to use it. Then just rewet as needed from the water fountain. We used the big ones last time and they are pretty big. This time I ordered the sport size for the kids.

Ok so we are in disney now. I ended up buying the frogg togg towels. THEY WORK!!!! There are 5 of us. I brought 3 towels and 2 water misting fans and we stayed cool all day today and that sun was fierce!!! GO BUY them!!!! I got mine at walmart for $12
