As a family we tend to use the 2 for $25 menu. My wife and I split the fajitas, my son gets a pasta dish, and we split the half order of texas cheese fries. Since we all drink water it makes the meal around $8 each plus tip.

I order water as well. It’s just what I drink, even at home. I ordered a Diet Coke someplace Christmas Eve, first time in a long time. When the bill came I looked and it was $3.99. Was surprised.

I think sometimes it comes very close to beer being cheaper then a fountain drink.

On top of the high prices on fountain drinks, I don't like that other than the chain restaurants, local places near me don't give free refills on them. $3 for 1 drink half full of ice isn't worth it to me.

I didn't know about the 3 for $10 deal until reading this thread and was going to try it sometime this week until I found out the only location in the area just shut down yesterday with no notice.

Very true! At least a beer has more value than a soda for the prices they charge.

My daughters and I just get ice water now. If I do get soda, rarely, I ask for no ice

We love the 3 for $10 deal, inexpensive meal for a family of 4 and we get full with lunch for the next day

Inflation seems to have set in now, since it's 3 for $10.99 now in my area.

I didn't know about it either, although we'll have to think about it. Every time we pick up at Chili's, we usually get roughly 1/2 of the order correctly filled.

The food is good, pickup competence not so much.

Was thinking of doing this this week, but the one I would normally go to has stopped in favor of something called "3 for Me". There's a lot more choices, including some that are $9.99. Also steak at a higher price. The appetizers seem to be the same. I'm wondering if maybe this location is a franchise that decided to opt out in favor of something that might cost them less in discounts.

Just thinking about it after spending time with my father.

My father wanted to go with me for Applebee’s 2 for $25 special with an appetizer since they have sirloin. They gave us the wrong one (well done when we both ordered medium-rare) but took it back. Even with the right one, it was dry as heck and needed to be drowned in something. I told my father that maybe we could have gone further to Chili’s, where the steak has always been fine at any location. I did miss their two $10 eBonus with at least $50 last week for a single day.

But on a different day we ended up going to Chili's where my father got the $15.99 3 for Me with the steak and two sides. It wasn’t dry as heck and he liked it with the garlic butter.

They have discontinued a few things that I used to get. One is that their daily free beverage or chips/salsa reward no longer includes a lunch special as part of the minimum $5 spend. And there’s no more shrimp tacos in their lunch special - or any kind of tacos at all on the menu.

Is the Chilli's 3 for $10 deal now known as the Three For Me Deal? That's the deal my mom gets when she and Dad order Chili's and she gets the fajitas there and she loves them. And my dad got Chilli's Santa Fe Burger this week and he LOVED it and it is the biggest burger i've seen. In fact the Santa Fe Burger was so incredibly big that he ate the rest for lunch the next day and according to my dad it's a great burger
