Hello! I am hoping to get some information about a child's Mouseketeer stool I found while sorting through my late father's belongings. I was so excited when I found it as I had never seen it before. I would assume it has been in storage for several years. The stool has a triangle leather top with the Mouseketeer logo stamped on the top. The image is carved into the leather and not just topical. It measures about a foot tall and the leather triangular top is 14" x 14" x 14". The top fits over an oak tripod with rubber protectors on the bottom of the legs. I haven't been able to locate any information about this stool nor have I encountered anything that resembles it. If anyone out there knows anything about it's age or origin; I would love to know the history of it. It looks like an item that could have been used on the actual show or an item that was manufactured for club members. I hope someone out there is knowledgeable about this stool. Thanks! I wanted to post a picture but I can't figure out how to do it. If you would like to see pictures of the stool; email me. Thanks!

1950s Mickey Mouse Club tooled chair Red's Leather Knott's Berry Farm WDP Disney"SATURDAY'S TOYS Presents..." a hand-crafted leather seat with wooden tripod from Red's Leather Works at Knott's Berry Farm. The Ghost Town shop was originally located on Market Street, near Calico Square. In the early 1950's it was moved to a new location on Grand Avenue (opposite to Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner Restaurant and the Berry Market); at the south end of building where Bob's Men's Shop was located. (shop photo for illustration only; not included with auction)Circa late 1950's / early 1960's; with the shop's information etched into one corner of the reverse side. Also notes "Walt Disney Productions"... an incredibly rare imprint in light of the fact that the piece was sold at Disneyland's neighbor to the west... Knott's Berry Farm. Indeed, both Walt Disney and Walter Knott were friends... even as they were cordial competitors. The vintage leather seat features Mickey Mouse in the iconic Mouseketeers logo... carved directly into the hand-tooled leather. Includes the original three-legged wooden tri-pod utilizing three round wooden poles joined at the center and configured so that each pole slipped into one corner of the leather seat. Each edge of the seat measures approx. 16". The assembly is joined together as shown; though one nut is needed to permanently secure the chair prior to use.The shop was then owned by William "Red" Walker and has since been managed by a succession of other merchants.Leather is in good condition though conditioning with a leather saddle soap or other conditioner is recommended.Still, a very unusual and attractive Mouseketeer collectible... worthy of the finest Disney archive or museum collection.
