Maybe a silly question but...

My son will be 12 when we cruise (12 1/2 really, lol). Will he order off the child's menu or adults? Or will he get a choice? He is a little more adventurous than most kids when it comes to eating. Just curious. Thanks!

Great, thanks! He's at that age where he doesn't think it's cool to order from a menu he can color on!

Anyone of any age can order from either the kid or the adult menu! So if you want chicken fingers, go for it.

Also....it's a great time for kids to try out new stuff. If they get something and don't like it, they can get something else. If they want to try two things right u front, that's ok too.

My DD ordered the plain steak from the adults menu a couple of times and my DH got the chicken soup from the kiddie menu.

Love that chicken noodle soup. Also, the Mickey bars are on the kids menu, gotta order them. :mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar

I have been known to order off the kids menu when there was nothing that appealed to me on the adults menu. We just let the servers know that we want both on the table each night for more choices. BTW, DD will be 15 when we cruise in June and we will ask for both menus again.

My son aged 10 swaps between the two menus each night, taking the best of each, he is a bit fussy but it works out well

I used the kids and the adult menu both on my then 4 year old to start her experimenting with real food. I hated the thought of paying ALL THAT MONEY for her to eat chx tenders and hot dogs all week.

It worked, and she's been eating off the adult menu ever since. :woohoo:

It is a very good way to 'expand' what young kids eat, and experiment, even adults try new foods on the cruise, if the kids doesn't like it often they will find something else, plain pasta etc is always around.

They have fixed my son up with English shepherds pie for an example which was off menu.

And the wost case if they do not eat, there is room service and deck 9.
