Child's AP - Do you get the discount?

I KNOW this has been discussed many, many times, but I'm rusehd. Can you get the room discount with a child's pass or not?

I think that since you have to be 18 to book a room, you need an adult AP to get the rate.

I just went in Jan and used my DD's (age 3.5) AP to book our room. I didn't sneak I asked 3 different CM's when calling about my room. Make sure that you get names even though no one even asked to see her AP.

My official email from guest services was yes, as long as the child is staying there.
