Child's AP - Discount Question

We just got ours but a few places would ask to see mine and my fiancé's even if it was only the two of us.

As long as the AP holder is paying and they don't see money being exchanged or anything at the table, then only the AP holders AP needs to be seen. Like mentioned right above as long as the AP is paying, the discount is good for that person and up to 3 more guests.
