Do you know what. I am going to speak my mind - something that I don't do very often on here.
I think the way this thread has just been forgotten is really poor. My DD spent £20 of her own money and invested her own time in looking for gifts that she thought would be perfectly suited for the person she was buying for, and that they would be well received.
Apparently not :sad2:
We were supposed to post pics of the gifts before they were opened. Taylor was the only one that bothered. We were supposed to take pics of the gifts once opened. Again Taylor was the only one that bothered.
Every day since Christmas she has asked me to log on and see if there was any response. She didn't even want a thank you - just a message to say that the presents were liked. And every day this thread has been slippping further and further down the page.
I am more than a little surprised to see how upset she was getting about it, whuich is the reason for my comments. If it was me and my own money I would have let it slide. As an adult I am used to dissappointment - but DD isn't. And this wasn't the place for her to learn this sort of lesson.
Rant over

That's why I don't bother with these things. They are so nice, but when kids are involved, it's too hard to try and explain that when adults just don't have the time, it's not because their [the kids'] input and effort isn't important.

Hi Kenny
Im so sorry about the way this has been handled, although not run by us, as moderator of the boards I need to apologise if any thread upsets anyone and I will try and get intouch with Anna to find out what is going on and how dissapointed people are that the rules have not been upheld and the thread not properly maintained. Sorry:flower3:

Thanks Sue - although I don't, for one second, think it is the responsibility of the mods to have to monitor this sort of thread.

Thank you for the complaint Id have appreciated being contacted via pm to sort but hey, Ill never ever run anything again,
unfortunatly life gets in the way of being on here sometimes, I dont think Ive posted since Christmas as Ive been too busy, with private things that I dont feel the need to go on about on here.

thank you to my childrens secret santas, they loved them all, unfortunatly our christmas day was interupted by a death inconvienient I guess that I wasnt there for most of the present opening as I went to the hospital, so didnt get all the pictures. Im doing them now. and no I wouldnt like it mentioned again or on facebook as the person concerned parents dont want it all over the internet!

this is the first pic i have,
the other pic is a mass pic of things other people got so sorry about that too, as my parents didnt know who sent what!
