I wasn't trying to be negative toward management M&D. I think as a whole managers are the leaders of magic. I just think closing managers might have more reason to be a little bitter because they put so much into their store.I think it's a mistake to paint all TDS management with such a broad brush. I've never been a PT cast member. I started with TDS as a Lead CM, then moved up to ASM, and due to interesting circumstances, am now SM.
While we do experience a bit more job stress than a regular CM, there are many of us in management who are feeling a profound loss with the closure of these stores. The "business" side of things wasn't always fun, but the MAGIC more than made up for it.
Just another perspective for you.
QUOTE=Mickey&Donald;25450494]While I do agree that Disney (as a hole, not just TDS) needs a serious overhaul, I cannot for one minute stomach the idea of someone as negative and caustic as prs being the embodiment of Disney.[/QUOTE]
Well, what I mean is Disney purists love the historical high standards of the golden days. Some are loud purist and some, like myself, are quite purist. I'd love it to be like the ol' days too. But I make Disney experiences the best for me. I try to find some good in every Disney event. So, what's good about my store closing? I'm moving on to bigger things! WDW!
Ya know, Disney is kinda like religion. For some folks think if ya don't do things the Disney perfect way, you're goin' to Disney hell - (Universal).
Point is ... all be tolerant. Love Disney for you. Be positive, be helpful, be caring and follow through.

Yes please! And 8 times out of 10, I'm told I'm "old" (if 29's old, shoot me out back like that old gray mare, please) and that we should be playing better music.. like High School Musical and Hannah Montana.

They're really cutting back quickly -- the remainder will close the 22nd, and the last two (as far as I know) stores will be closing the 28th.
I would definitely get over to that store soon to visit if I were you -- they could be on the June 14th list too, I don't know. They're closing 20 stores this Saturday, another chunk next Saturday, and the rest (excepting Valley Mall in Hagerstown, MD and Post Street in San Francisco) on the 22nd. Valley and Post St. will remain til the 28th.
