On the papers that we had to sign as managers there was a projected 7.6 weeks on our sheets. That would put us at the same time around 6/22.
We have been given a projected close day of June 22. Have you heard anything about CMs coming in to sign more papers? It's suppose to be some confidentially thing...
At my local DS this past weekend (one that isn't closing), there was someone checking out in front of me. This person started screaming at the CM ringing them out, wanting to know why they wouldn't "price match" another store in the area that IS closing! After reading sooo many CM posts here, I had to speak up and ask this guest if they were "for real", and mentioned that it's mentality like that, that is the cause of some of the stores to be closing to begin with!![]()
Best wishes to all CM's in closing stores, and just know that there are guests out there supporting you.![]()

Now we were told that we are going to start receiving product from other stores that are closing early. We were also told that Hoop never paid their taxes to our city, so the mayor is getting his lawyers involved. This does not look good for us trying to fight the closing....

Does anyone know what stores in NY state will be closing?
Just curious. Could you share what you are doing to fight the closing of your Disney Store?
I'd love to know this too.As far as I know, there's nothing that can be done at this point. We're kicking serious liquidation booty (our store has consistently been in the top 10 of all closing stores in sales) and sadly, we're still closing. Post Street in San Francisco is pulling some insane numbers (they did $100,000+ this week) and they're still closing.
I'm just curious what you guys think you can honestly do to change anything, other than going out with a bang..

I read on another board that some stores are having difficulty enforcing the "Disney Look Standard". Not all managers embrace the standard. I wonder if the weeding out process is now at management level? Followed by cast level?
I'm thinkin' that's because you're still Disney. The stores built during TCP days might have the biggest problem. They don't have the standard to GO BACK TO. They never knew the standard in the first place.I know at my store, our Disney-Look Standards never changed even when we were TCP. Since we never really swayed from the standards, it isn't hard at all to go back to Disney Standards.![]()

Ok, so why the difference. Remember when you hired in? You, like everyone else, wanted to work at TDS because IT WAS DISNEY !! It was a passion. I think some of TCP employees work at TDS 'cause IT"S A JOB. It's not a passion. Remember how it was? I bet you were so happy when you hired in !!!
ok, I'm off my soap box now.
I gotta say, TCP employees at my store, even though we're closing, are as good as any cast we've ever had. They ARE Disney and they are great. I'll miss 'em all.
Remain Seated Please.....I have to ask one question. Did you get fired from your job at The Disney Store? You remind me of Mrs. Carmody in the movie "The Mist".
