Children's menu?

I was just glancing over some menus and noticed my kids would often prefer to eat off the adult menu. Is this allowed? Or is it like a dining plan at WDW and kids have to order from the kids menu? My kids like good, full flavored food just in smaller portions.

The children are allowed to eat off of whichever menu they prefer! It's fantastic! They can also order a second entree if the first isn't what they expected and don't like it.

My 6 yo has never ordered anything from the kids menu (except a Mickey Bar and the "make your own cupcake" dessert). He usually does the full meal from the main menu : starters, entree and dessert. They can have seconds, smaller portions, a replacement as mentioned. The rules are few and far between when it comes to food on DCL or any other cruiseline.

Kids can order from the adult menu (no alteration in portion sizes though) if they want. And adults can order from the children's menu (usually doubled portions) if they want.

In my experience, we've been able to get smaller portions of things that are easily portioned, like pasta. We also asked and received plates without some sides we knew our son wouldn't eat. That was a few cruises ago, when our son was younger and didn't have his current appetite.

You can get anything from either menu for anyone in your party. My son uses this opportunity to try new things and takes advantage by ordering double the meat(steak or fish)... he also orders from the kids menu.
