I was just reading the thread about eating in the castle and it was mentioned that you could order the prime rib for $10 by request but it was not listed on the menu. This made me wonder if other restaurants do this, have entrees that are different or special to them but not the basic burger, hot dog, chickennuggets. We have very adventurous boys when it comes to eating but hate to pay big money for adult meals when only small amount will actually be consumed . Thanks for any responses .

YES! Many of the upscale WDW restaurants and some of the moderates offer "Children's portions" of some of teh entree's.

Here are some of the specifics we've experienced:

Yachtsmans Steakhouse--DS was able to get a single pork chop for half the price.

Palio--DS was able to get a childrens sized portion of chicken parm.

I'm sure there were others, just can't recall them right now.

We always ask this same question of our waiter at most of the better Disney restaurants we go to. We have four kids, two that are under 10 that really don't like the usual kids stuff on the menu.

Oh! You coulod also order one adult meal and ask them to split it for the boys--they happily will do this.
