Children's Menu at Biergarten?

Was just looking over the menu at the Biergarten and I see pretty much the same things offered to children that are on the adults' menu - sausages, roast pork, schnitzle, rotisserie chix, etc. Has anyone eaten there and found children's items? My grandchildren are fairly fussy - I KNOW they won't be eating any of the above mentioned items, tho my husband & I would enjoy them. Am looking for things like mac & cheese, chix tenders, french fries, etc. Boring I know, but there's no sense in going if they won't eat anything offered.
Thank you for any info.

Check on allearsnet.com they have a great view of all the restaurants and the menus for them, along with the price:) Good luck..

Last time we were there they had mac and cheese. We had a particularly non-adventurous adult with us who ate quite a bit of it :rotfl:

They also have things like regular salad, fresh rolls with butter, coldcut ham and cheese, potato soup... things that our aforementioned friend also enjoyed.

Here's DD16's plate. She is not very adventurous either.

My kids are very picky eaters and would not eat there so the waitress did not charge us for them. We were paying oop. I thought I could get them to eat a little rolls, chicken etc. but nothing. We would like to go back on our next trip and I will be bringing PB&J sandwiches for them. They do not have a separate menu just what is served on the buffet.

My DD12 was not thrilled with the picky eater choices at Biergarten. She had the mac and cheese, sausages, bread and dessert. She did great everywhere else we went during our 11 day trip, but this was the first meal we had and a big disappointment to her. The rest of us, however, LOVED it and we will definitely be going back.

No flames, please -- my heart is in the right place!

We started taking DS to WDW when he was 5; he's now 10 and we've been 6 times. He's a person with picky tendencies, but we use opportunities like WDW to say hey -- part of travel, part of life, is trying new things and learning how to be flexible. Here we are, this is where we're eating lunch, we're not going to a different/second place just for you (and btw here are all the things we did 'just for you' today, etc.). There ARE things here that we know you can eat, that you can try. You might not love them, you might not want to have them again, but you can make a meal out of the food that's here and that's what we expect you to do.

I'm delighted to say that we now have a child we can take anywhere -- he will "try something once" and make the best of it AND he's discovered things he LOVES that he would never have tried otherwise.

Just my two cents....:thumbsup2

No flames here.I am the same way. I remember way back when ,when WS had no basic childs offereing s and it was simply child portions of the adult menus.

DD and DS have traveled all over the country, not just WDW, since they were 1 and 2. They have eaten many, many different types of food. They have also been to WDW yearly for the past 17 years, and Disneyland almost monthly their entire lives. We have never avoided a restaurant because DD didn't like the menu. However, she still manages to find things that her picky tastes agree with no matter where we decide to eat. Each child is different. Don't assume that a picky eater is that way because they are sheltered or catered to. DD is definitely not catered to. You can see from the pic I posted of her plate that she even found the most basic comfort foods at a German buffet.

We just ate there about a week ago and I have to say there's not alot for kids to eat if they are picky. This is one meal we didn't really enjoy. Just not our taste and we do like to try different things. We like Boma's which is very different but I thought for the picky eaters they had a better selection at the kids buffet than Biergarten.
