childrens link bracelets that you can add disney charms to

Hi: Does anyone know if the disney chain link bracelets that the stores in parks/resorts sell for about $8.00 you can add different disney character charms to. have any lead in them.
Last time I was there they were in adult sizes and child sizes. Looking to buy one for a young granddaughter I am a little leary of cheaper jewellery made in china.
