I thought I read somewhere that you can go to guest services and have your child measured when you arrive at the park and get a wrist band that signifies what height they are/what rides they can go on. This would eliminate getting to the line and facing the disappointment of not being tall enough. Is this true?

They don't do this at WDW... your child will be measured at each attraction.

They do post the height requirements very prominently, though. So knowing your child's height should mean you don't waste time in line only to be told she's too short...

Good luck! (How tall is the kiddo?)

Just so you know, some rides measure twice. Like if Splash has a long line, they'll measure at the beginning of the line, and then sometimes they measure again in the middle. Sometimes the kid makes it by #1 measurer and "fails" at #2. DD experienced that heartbreak years ago.

That's been an on and off rumor for a while (at least 3 years). Including at one time the use of a laser-assisted measuring device. As of yet, nothing has been implemented.

Since my son is exactly 48" I am thinking about bringing a fabric tape measure so I can prove it to the CMs myself!

they usually have them before the join the queue and just before the ride. If ur kid is just on(or a little under) the hight restrictions, and they def want to ride, use heal lifts or high shoes just to get on the ride.
