Does anyone know where to get a kid size fanny pack? My son 7 and is pretty skinny so an adult fanny pack just wont fit, :sad2: or if you have an alternitive to a fanny I would love to here about it. He wants to carry his own stuff i.e. money for penny press, desposible camera, snacks and maybe an autograph book if he decieds he wants to do that. Any help or suggestion?
If you have a web site or picture please let me know. :thumbsup2

We saw some at MGM today - a really cute Stitch on for a boy, and a Princess one for girls. I am sure they have the other places, I had just not taken notice before.

I finally bought one for DD today (we got a Tinkerbell one that would fit an adult - we just have it tightened all the way) - so she could carry "stuff" - I was always so tired of carrying her autograph book etc. Except now she wanted to carry the MONEY too! I thought like so many things she would tire of that too -but she did not. Money well spent! That a the Fan/spray bottle - she has been wanting one for three years, and I broke down today, since we have company coming and will be at the parks next week too. She really had fun with that - and CARRIED it by herself!

We've been strapping fanny packs on our boys since they were 2 and 4 (they're 8 and 10 now!!) and they are invaluable! Rule is, if you want it in the park, you tote it. Their first fanny packs were from, of all places, Chuck E. Cheese but were small enough to fit our oldest when he was <2YO. Next trip we found kid-sized fanny packs at KB Toys by Fisher Price that actually came with a water bottle. Our last trip both of our boys had Cub Scout fanny packs (since they're both in CS) and they, too, are child-sized.

You could probably find cute and inexpensive ones at Toys R Us or KB Toys. Good luck! :goodvibes

Do the princess packs from the park have a pocket for a water bottle?

Both my girls have them from Kings Island, but I wanted ones that have a pocket for a water bottle. If not they can just use the ones they have even though they are Dora and Spongebob.

My DD was 7 when we went last and she was/is very skinny. I took one of the adult fanny packs we have and tightened the straps as far as they would go, then tied a knot in each side of the straps (to shorten it further), then buckled it around her waist (or lack of!) Worked great, no slipping. The adult packs just have a little more room for her 'stuff' than the kiddie ones.

No, they do not have a pocket for a water bottle

My kids are 9 and 10, but both very small. I did the same thing. I bought my daughter a light purple adult-sized pack and I bought my son a "manly" looking pack in gray. I got them for $3 each in WalMart (on sale, but normally only $4.86) and they are a lot better quality than all of the kid-sized fanny packs which are meant to be toys and constructed cheaply.

My son's pack had a little loop on the side (not intended for the strap). I slipped the strap through that loop and pulled it tight. The loop was smaller than the strap, so it held snugly. The was a fair amount of slack leftover on the strap, so I just tucked it in under the part on his waist.

For my daughter I just tied a knot in back of the strap and it was enough to make it fit.

To the person who commented on water bottles, my family used insulated bottled from WalMart and they worked great. The water bottle has a small insert which you fill with water and freeze to keep the water cold. The bottle fits into a neoprene insulated case with a neck strap. They cost $2.86 each.

Between the fanny packs and water bottles on the necks, we didn't have to carry anything into the parks with our hands...sure makes it easy when you get onto rides.

Here's what I ordered for my girls for our trip last year. They fit my very small 5 year old as well as her big sister. They're personalizable and fit their gum, autograph books, pen, pennies and a few other things. There's no water bottle holder though.

I got them for my kids (8,7,5,3) last year at Walmart. They were kid ones, but for the younger kids I did have to double the strap, but they worked fine. It was great for them, especially on the airplane.
