Do/did your children have a theme to their bedroom or bedclothes? Disney? Fave football team? Etc?

When my older son was 3/4 years old, he was Thomas The Tank Engine crazy and had Thomas The Tank Engine duvet cover and matching pillowcase!! He also had "The Snowman" matching cover and pillowcase.

The younger son was that age when Thunderbirds made a comeback and had a Thunderbirds duvet cover and pillowcase.

My DS had Star Wars - Star Wars everywhere! Slippers, Pyjamas, Mug, Duvet, Pillowslips, Towel. He also had West Ham. Everything claret and blue!!! He still has a West Ham Towel that he uses for Football Training.

Katie was always ver girly, girly ~~ so as long as it had bows, ribbons, lace on then it was fine! But she did used to sleep with her Ballet shoes under her pillow! Bless.

Oh ----------------------and James was four when he got his first pair of Football Boots - he wanted to sleep with them on the first night!! LOL

LOL Tim :teeth: !

LOL @ James with his football boots too Janice :teeth: !

Oh yes Tim I can relate to the pig sty 'theme' my 9 yr old is much the same but somewhere under it all is a 'groovey chick' theme:rolleyes: I spent 2 days stencilling her walls in the theme only for her to now have it covered in posters of people I've barely heard of.

Our little one loves Winnie the Pooh so while she was away at her grans for a week in the summer we redecorated her room and its so cute I wanted to sleep there, what am I saying, most nights I do sleep there (she still doesn't sleep through the night:( )

Hello

My eldest DS Billy is a bit of an untidy one as well, draws are always left open videos are out of their boxes and cd's are used more like coasters than anything else, but underneath all that is Coventry City FC, but to tell you truth since they have been relegated to Division 1 he now wants Liverpool or Man United:bounce:

My Other DS Jack who is 20 months old has the box bedroom and I'm quite chuffed on how I done that room, all the walls are yellow and his cot has all Winnie the Pooh quilt and bumper set, along with the toys, his curtains, lampshade, curtain tie backs, and border is all winnie and friends also I have stuck big stickers of all off them all around the room and a big winnie the pooh floating from a balloon over his cot. It does look absolutely WICKED !!!! even if I am blowing my own trumpet:smooth: :smooth:

I can't wait till we go to Florida in a few weeks time and he sees them in person, especially Eeyore which he is always kissing in his book.(bless)

Adam, my youngest has gorgeous Liberty wallpaper & curtains. The fabric shows little spacemen jumping on glittery planets & stars and the wallpaper has shooting stars & moons.

A fantastic woman & her husband came round to paint Elliot's room with all the Toy Story 2 characters, in fact it looks like Andy's room complete with painted tongue & groove and cloud wallpaper. Buzz is flying through the air and Woody is grabbing hold of his leg flying with him. Bo Peep is trying to use her staff to pull Woody down and all the other characters are hanging onto ropes from the ceiling. It really is amazing, but Elliot is now sick of it...... Typical eh?!

Cameron has wanted a Spiderman room for ages now and we're thinking of doing it outselves with an OH projector to save some money!! I'm not at all artistic so it should be fun  !!

Like Tim, ours is called "Mess Central" !

Katie has just got a brand, spanking new bedroom (large, downstairs bedroom with its own bathroom:rolleyes: ).

Walls are lilac, carpet lilac, doors and woodwork Portuguese blue - and even if I say so myself, it looks brilliant, I am delighted and more importantly, Katie is thrilled:D She really feels "growed up" now . . . at the grand old age of 9, especially with her new cabin bed with futon chair-bed:D

Her "new" duvet (surprise for her) is different coloured lilac and blue elephants (she's Eeyore and Elephant mad). But her "other?" duvet, which actually matches the new curtains in her room, is Funky Fairies, which is lovely, bright yellow with funky-style fairies in pink, blue and lilac - totally colour coordinated in fact (it's a first).

She's surrounded by her cuddlies collection, from Beanies to everything else, but most importantly at bed-time are Cheezer (Beanie Mouse, used to be white ;) and a Classic Eeyore. But I suspect another Eeyore (or three) will be coming back in November with us :).

At the moment - due to it's newness, her Untidy Bedroom Cerificate isn't hanging . . . but it's only a matter of time:rolleyes:;)

For our DD's nursery my husband painted pictures of Postman Pat, Thomas Tank Engine, Jimbo, a pink Care Bear, Mr Men, &Spot,

She now has posters of Gareth plus others I don't know  all over the walls and looks like a typical teenagers pigsty oh I meant bedroom :p

My husband painted Power Rangers and Action man in our sons room when he was about five, he has a Power Rangers quilt cover, Action man quilt cover & curtains, but he says hes too old now ( he's 11) and wants to cover them up. He has a Leeds United Quilt at the moment, but hasn't decided what the next color scheme/ theme will be, but the first posters of girls have appeared over his bed

I love the Stick a Rounds that you just bung on the walls and then can move around. I decorated DS2 's room with Winnie the Pooh plus curtains, and bedding - he loves his winnie and oree(Eeyore)

DS1 now has a massive mural of Dinosaurs all along one wall - took me ages to put the borders as they tend to stick to everything. I also Scoobied his furniture - Mind you now there are Pokemon , Batman, Simpsons etc posters everywhere covering uo all the hard work - sigh!!
