We are trying to figure out how to feed our DS at WDW. He always has had a milk allergy but now has been diagnosed with sensitivities to artificial food colorings. No red, blue or yellow colorings.

I know WDW is good with the milk thing but how do we deal with artificial food colorings. We try to get him to eat food as close to its natural state as possible but you won't believe the things that have food coloring - marshmallows to make them whiter, raspberry pies to make them redder and appear tastier....

Is there someone to contact or talk to at WDW? Any help would be appreciated! :)

In the FAQ for this board there is a page about contacting WDW to discuss food allergies. There is a new food concerns office there. I would run the ? by them - I have a feeling this will be a difficult allergy unless the chef makes things from scratch...which might have to be what you request. Do things like flour and sugar also add whiteners? Just thinking out loud! Let us know what you find out.

You can start with the brands that are mentions. They use Edys and Dreyers ice cream, Dole whips, divvies, heinz ketchup, Rice Dream, and lots of foods that are name brand like vans waffles. Some of the celiac stuff is natural with no colours, I am not sure about Vans.

Artificial colours should not be a problem for the chefs. If you hit a dead end let me know and I will bloodhound for you as I love to hunt stuff.

Have you considered having the food delivered that you need and feeding your son in the room? It isn't as much of a break for you, but the peace of mind of knowing what your son is eating is safe can be big impact of how relaxing your vacation is to you. Try wegoshop.com or gardengrocer.com. Your other option would be renting a car and getting the food yourself or shipping it down ahead of time.

I sent an email to disney WDW.MK.Special.Diets@disney.com and they were very helpful. I did check all the info they sent me and there was nothing on i regarding artificial food colorings. I'd send them an email explaining your situation and see how they respond. Good luck. :)

I emailed Theresa Joiner at: theresa.joiner@disney.com with my children's dietary concerns. She responded within 24 hrs. and sent me a very detailed list of ingredients in several of the foods found at WDW. There were several attachments with tons of information. I'm still going through it all... Here's an example of more general info. of her response to me:
