Hi Everyone,
My family is going WDW in early Dec. and we are taking my niece with us. This will be her first trip to WDW.
If you are 3 yrs. old do you get in free or is it under 3 yrs. old? Also, does anyone know if they ask for a birth certificate or something? She just turns 3 a week before we go. :confused3

Thanks in advance for any info,
Christine

I believe the age is UNDER three get in free. The first age ticket range is 3-9.

There have been debate threads about if you should try and fudge and get kids in when they are only slightly over the age. As the mom of two preschool kids, I know they are VERY proud of their birthday and love to tell people "I am 3 now" ect.

IMHO it is not worth teaching your little ones to fib.

No - WDW requires admission for children 3 and up.

FWIW my nephew who was 2 1/2 on our trip was asked his age several times by the turnstyle CM's. They were very pleasant and respectful and engaged him in a conversation regarding his age. Beleive me - they heard his life history before long, including when he would be 3 and what he was going to do on his birthday. In short way TMI but if he were three they would have known it. :earsboy:

Our dd is nearly 3, so we always take a copy of her birth certificate in case we are asked; but we never have been. We were never asked about our boys either. Perhaps having PAP's for the rest of our large-ish family makes us look more honest???

I took my two dd's when one was two and the other was about to turn 4. Both are the same exact size and neither was asked their age. I didnt purchase a ticket for either. I figure that I will be going back often and disney has plenty of my money.

My DS was asked his age twice while we were there. HE responded 10 and he is 2.5. We would just respond 2 and offered a copy of his birth certificate. THey took our word for it and did not want to see the certificate.

Oh boy, here we go again. Buy the ticket since that is their policy OR go before the child's birthday.

Here's the heated thread on this subject that was locked...I'll bet this one will be locked too.

That is so funny! When my oldest ds was 2.5 and people asked his age he would tell them he was 49! If you tried to tell him otherwise he would get indignant! :rotfl:
